A Physics Interpretation of the Front Handspring Vault
Gymnastics is a sport that has been around since before the first set of Olympics. The early Romans and Greeks practiced forms of gymnastics to obtain flexibility and physical fitness. The physics of gymnastics are dependent on the maneuvers being preformed and the person who is performing. Our project focuses on a handspring vault with a front somersault. In this examination 3 series of moves were studied: preflight, takeoff, and postflight. To view the results of this investigation, click on the buttons in the frame to the left.
