history

The Pacolet Fire District is made up of the former Pacolet Town and Pacolet Mills Fire Departments.  PFD covers approximately 31 square miles in the Eastern part of Spartanburg County. The population in the PFD district is approximately 5500. We respond to just under 200 calls per year. The department is made up of volunteer firefighters from the district. The department also has a part time staff made up of volunteers that man the station on their time off from their full time jobs. The department operates out of (2) fire stations located within the district. The Pacolet Mills Station is located at 1425 Victor Park Drive and the Pacolet Station is located at 160 Hill brook  Circle. PFD has an ISO classification 5. We are working on several projects to better the ISO class and better serve our community. Please stop by and visit one of our stations.
