~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Denison, Texas.
The future leader of the free world,
in war and peace, was born in a railroad
neighborhood,with the family home nestled
within a few yards of three railroad lines.
Eisenhower's birthplace is now a
State Historical Park.
The focal point being the historic home.
The Visitors Center.
Lovely!
Statue of Ike.
Standing beside the Statue is the
Sculptor Robert Lee Dean, Jr.
U S Supporters for Ike's Birthplace teamed
with the Herald Democrat and the
Military Vehicle Preservation & Historical Club
on the prize winning float for the annual
Denison Memorial Day Parade.
Depicting an Army field command post
with Eisenhower and staff.
There were more than a hundred floats!
I am showing a few of the best!
