Remembering

In her thoughts she remembers,
Has it been over two years ago.
When she first saw him,
And they said their hello's.



A lot of time was spent together,
Their friendship started to grow.
She fell in love with him,
But she never let him know.



They became closer,
They would talk every day.
But life's little problems,
Somehow always got in the way.



When that day came,
Oh how she cried.
For he had just walked away,
Without even saying good-bye.



She knew in her heart,
She could never let go.
So she kept waiting,
Surely he had to know.



One day he would realize,
The love she felt for him.
She prayed their hearts,
Would be together again.



When that day finally came,
Her world seemed so right.
Now that he was back in her life,
Her heart soaring like an eagle in flight.



But those life little problems,
They just won't go away.
Oh how she dies inside,
From all the hurtful words he says.



All their words have been spoken,
They will find no future in the past.
Doesn't matter who was right or wrong,
Under these conditions love won't last.
