Fading Colors

by Shelby ©

On a gloomy solitary afternoon,
I seen a beautiful rainbow.
Pink, yellow, blue pastel colors,
Through the rain the sun glows.

Frowning with displeasure,
Has it only been a few weeks.
Had his love been a fantasy illusion,
Or had my heart been that weak.

As I studied that rainbow,
I watched as it colors faded.
It was the same as I was feeling,
Shallow, broken, and shaded.

He had been all I ever wanted,
I truly believed he loved me.
Interestingness for him ceased,
I wasn't what he wanted me to be.

Wish my heart was like that rainbow,
For my tears still fall like rain.
Like the beautiful pastel colors,
The sun would faded away the pain.
