Just Friends

Many time I tried,
To be your friend.
All I ever wanted,
Was a smile now and then.
If I've taken you for granted,
And our friendship ends.
I will think of you often,
I will not pretend.
Will not say I didn't care,
Cannot lie.
You will never know,
How I hurt inside.
People say I love you,
They don't mean to be cruel.
Without a second thought,
Breaks all of love's rules.
Tell each other our sorrows,
No matter how hard we try.
We listen, we feel,
Wipe tears from our eyes.
Internet is a wonderful thing,
We can laugh, sing, and play.
But a heart can be broken,
By careless words people say.
Good bye my friend,
Hope love does find you.
Wish you happiness,
In every thing you do.
