Living A Lie

I stand in the shadows,
My pain I hide.
Afraid of knowing,
I am living a lie.
The truth I bare,
Reaching into my heart.
A heart that's empty,
Where love knows no part.
The shadows are dark,
No light can I see.
From these lies,
Will I ever be free?
A life time of sorrow,
Now deep in my soul.
These haunting lies,
Have taken control.
Lies control my heart,
They cloud my mind.
Why does life,
Have to be so unkind?
