What Is Butterfly House?
Because the butterfly is a universal symbol of transformation, it has been chosen to stand for Butterfly House, Inc., a non-profit agency dedicated to improving services for unwed teen mothers-to-be and providing them with the skills necessary to transform them into responsible, competent, self-sufficient young mothers.
Butterfly House board members are motivated by love, and the Words of Jesus
(from The Bible, Matthew 25:35-36, 40) which say,
"I was hungry and you fed me.
I was thirsty and you gave me drink.
I was naked and you clothed me."
"And as you have done so unto the least of thy brethren,
so also have you done it unto me."
Butterfly House has an unwavering belief in the value of children,
no matter how they come to be.
Children must be given the best chance at life,
at health and success, from the very beginning!
