On my grandfather's side, I'm a descendant of Spartanburg County South

Carolina Bishops, almost all of whom are descendants of Captain John

Bishop (Since my line hasn't been verified to link to this line yet, I'm linking

to another persons page for this line). My line, however, has yet to be

positively connected to this line. I have confirmed all the way back to

Obediah W. Bishop, and even determined his mother's line (Henry Turner,

Sr.), but have yet to determine his father positively. The most likely

candidate, Nathan Bishop, is also an enigma, as we don't know his

ancestry.

Also on that same side of the family are branches to James William

Lawrence and Richard Cantrell.
