MY CRYPTID ARTWORK

MS Paint Artwork

  • Cameroon Flashlight Frog - This is an interpretation of the Cameroon Flashlight Frog. I have no idea of how accurate this is. Information on this cryptid's appearance seems to be rare on the Internet, so I simply modeled it as a treefrog with a glowing nose. I do not know what color it is actually supposed to be. I first drew a sketch of it on paper, then scanned it and colored it in MS Paint.

  • Canvey Island Monster - This is an interpretation of the Canvey Island Monster. One of the difficulties of this picture was the feet. The feet were said to have 5 toes arranged in a "U" shape. I am unsure of exactly what that means visually. I first drew a sketch of it on paper, then scanned it and colored it in MS Paint.

  • Con Rit - This is an interpretation of one of the so-called "Great Sea Centipedes". This small picture was created entirely in MS Paint. A description is included in the picture.

  • High-finned Sperm Whale - This is an interpretation of the high-finned relative or variant of the sperm whale. I first drew a sketch of it on paper, then scanned it and colored it in MS Paint.

  • Minhocao - This is an interpretation of the Minhocao. It is based on the proposal by Dr. Karl P. N. Shuker that the creature may be a giant caecilian. According to at least one witness, the Minhocao has a pig-like snout, which is included here. I first drew a sketch of it on paper, then scanned it, and colored it in MS Paint and Paint.NET.

  • Mongolian Deathworms (1) - These are two interpretations of the Mongolian Deathworm. They are based on descriptions given in Dr. Karl Shuker's book, The Beasts That Hide From Man. This small picture was created entirely in MS Paint. A description is included in the picture.

  • Mongolian Deathworm (2) - This is an interpretation of the Mongolian Deathworm. It is based on the general witness description that it looks like blood-filled intestines. I first drew a sketch of it on paper, then scanned it and colored it in MS Paint.

  • Rods - These are three interpretations of the Rods. This small picture was created entirely in MS Paint. A description is included in the picture.

  • Tatzelwurm (1) - This is an interpretation of the Tatzelwurm. The creature's head is based on that of the horned viper. There are several reasons for this. The Tatzelwurm is said to have a "cat-like" head, but it is also said to be reptilian. I figured that the horned viper best fits this description in a reptile, as its slitted pupils, cleft upper lip and ear-like horns give the slight impression of a cat. I first drew a sketch of it on paper, then scanned it and colored it in MS Paint.

  • Tatzelwurm (2) - This is an animated image of a Tatzelwurm with eyes that glow on and off. It is based on the more "cat-like" drawings of the Tatzelwurm. It was drawn entirely in MS Paint and animated with Flash.

  • Trunko - This is a whale-like interpretation of Trunko. This small picture was created entirely in MS Paint. A description is included in the picture.

Pencil-Shaded Drawings

  • Con Rit - This is an interpretation of the Vietnamese cryptid called Con Rit. This drawing is based on the assumption that the creature is a giant polychaete.

  • Monangahela Monster - This is an interpretation of the Monangahela Monster. The design is based on Basilosaurus, though the real Basilosaurus had nostrils instead of blowholes. From the description, it seems that the Monangahela Monster was a type of cetacean, though probably not closely related to any known species.
