OK..umm a little background on this show:its a show that aired on the bbc (british broadcasting company) about 5 years ago.they made the last episode in 1996,which was the movie..called The Last Shout.This show stars three briliant,hilarious actresses. Jennifer Saunders(as Eddie,mum),Julia Sawalha(Saffron), and Johanna Lumley(Patsy).The story setting is in Holland Park ,London, England. This show was based on a sketch comedy performance that Jennifer Saunders and fellow creator of Absolutely Fabulous(Ab Fab),Dawn French had on the French and Saunders show. Basically, the show is about a mum,(Jennifer Saunders)who is wildly out of control, she is selfish,and often has temper tantrums if she dosent get her way.Mum/Eddie(J.Saunders) is obsessed with the 70's and drugs and booze.And she is always trying to get her daughter to smoke or drink. Her daughter,however(Julia Sawalha)named Saffron is completely opposite her mum,Saffron is often trying to keep her mum out of trouble and always disapproving of her.Saffron is a "Straightedger"(if i may) because shedoes not approve of drugs or any of her mums habits for that matter.Johanna Lumley stars as Eddies best freind,Patsy.This late 40-ish woman is almost as wild as Eddie ,minus the tantrums.Patsy is kind of a whore.(excuse my language) she lives for easy casual sex.Patsy and Saffy do not get along, in fact in many episodes they can be found fighting. All put together this trio make a fabulous combo..this is the funniest show ive ever seen. -XsHaNnOnX
MAIN CHARACTERS
Edina Monsoon: Eddie, more comonly called, is a total La Croix (pronounced "La Qua") freak and major PR person, not to mention the STAR of the show! :)
Patsy Stone: Fashion Dierctor at "Hello Magazine," and Eddie's best friend. Watch out, these two drink 5 bottles of champainge a day! "Liquid Lunch Pats!!!"
Saffron Monsoon: Edina's goody goody daughter. It seems that she plays the mother role here, always hiding her mom's bolly and pot.
Mother: Edina's senile mother. This lady is way past nuts!
Bubble: Yet, another weird character, Bubble is Eddie's secretary at her PR company. She's as stupid as they come!!!
