I teach Instrumental Music at the HLV Schools located in Victor, Iowa. I am
responsible for HS and Jr. High Bands, summer programs,
and computer technology. A graduate of Ed-Co High School, I attended UNI
as a bassoon major from 1967-1971. I have been teaching at HLV for 25 years.
When not in the band room, I can be found on the tennis courts, in the garden,
in my basement throwing pottery, or at school working/playing with computers.
I and my wife Becky have been traveling the world lately. This summer we enjoyed
a two week trip to Europe with emphasis on Italy. Last year we toured New York City
and enjoyed some Broadway shows. Two years ago we toured England.
Three years ago we traveled the West coast from San Franciscoto San Diago.
Five years ago we traveled England, France, Germany, and Austria for three weeks.
Becky and I both are ongoing learners; so, travel and reading are
an important part of our lives. I thoroughly enjoy teaching music at HLV. I
have fun working with the quality young men and women that attend our school.
