Here are a few of my favorite recipes, using essential oils.
If you don't know anything about oils,
please inquire before buying or using, as they are all different and very potent.
Some can be harmful if not used properly,
but for the most part, they can take your feelings and emotions to a whole different planet!
ESSENTIAL OILS
LAVENDER: light,floral and clear. Used for anxiety, depression, antiseptic.
For a relaxing and peaceful evening, use 10 drops in your bath water or 6-8 drops in a diffuser and put near your bedside.
For depression or anxiety, put 4-5 drops on a tissue and carry it with you.
For a refreshing facial, add 8-10 drops to your favorite cleanser, or add to jojoba oil. This is a very good antiseptic, as well.
ROSEMARY: strong,clear,penetrating and refreshing. Used for depression, anxiety, antispasmodic,sore muscles.
After a long hard day, add 10 drops to bath water and soak for about 15 minutes.
In a diffuser, or lamp ring, put 5-7 drops and just relax. This will clear your head and cleanse your nose.
If you are a smoker, or know one, Rosemary is very good to grow and keep near your entry way to your home. Just brush across a rosemary bush and all hideous odors disappear.
Facial: use 5-7 drops on a cotton pad and wipe face gently. It's astringent properties are wonderful for sagging or puffiness, but be careful not to get in eyes.
PEPPERMINT: sharp, menthol fragrance. Used for nausea, head and muscle aches, energizing. Can be irritating to the skin, but has a cooling effect when hot and warm effect when cold. Peppermint has been known to have a calming effect on children with ADD.
For a cool refreshing bath, add 2-4(do not use more than this)drops to bath water and soak for 15 minutes.
For tired aching muscles, add 3 drops peppermint, 5 drops lavender and soak in lukewarm water for 10-15 minutes.
For congestion, add 1 drop peppermint, 2 drops eucalyptus oil in a bowl of hot water, cover the head with a towel, lean over the bowl and take in some deep breaths.

Should not be used full strength on the skin unless directed.
Certain oils should be avoided during the first 4 months of pregnancy:
Peppermint,Rose,and Rosemary.
Angelica, should be avoided if diabetic.
Fennel,Hyssop,Rosemary,and Sage
should be avoided if epileptic.
Hyssop, Rosemary, Sage, and Thyme
should be avoided if High Blood Pressure.
