Freight Train Derailment, Lake City, October, 2002

A CSX Transportation GM-EMD SD-40 locomotive straddles a ditch with its front trucks midway across Acline Street and its rear trucks on the rail bed. It derailed after striking a lowboy trailer carrying a steam roller that became stuck at the Main Street Crossing in Lake City. The SD-40 derailed at the Dansing Street crossing and laid on its side before righting itself.

Motor Vehicle Accident, New Hope, July 2002

This car carrier was involved in a multi-vehicle accident in extremely dense fog. Also involved were a four-door passenger car and a loaded concrete mixer.
