1973 Movie with John Voight and Burt Reynolds. A group of four friends goes out to tackle the last great river, The Wachamasie River. The river will soon be changed forever by the building of a damn. It will flood the surrounding area, and become extreamly deep. The group of four decide to challenge the river with canoes. Burt Reynolds and John Voight are close friends, always looking for a adventure. Burt Reynolds plays a man who just loves the outdoors, hunting, and fishing. They start their journey at a hick home. They try and ask people to take their vehicles down the river to their destination. They run into several rednecks who just think they are urban idiots. They find someone who would but they are uncertain. Their cars could wind-up anywhere. They are off down the river, fighting streams and downed trees. We find out in a camping scene that John Voights Character, can't shoot a living creature (Deer in a stone throw's distance and still can't shoot it). They continue down the river where the Voight Boat goes to shore (they were ahead). They incountered two rednecks that take them by gunpoint. They strip down the Fat friend to his underwear. Which in fact one redneck does him doggy style. They use that famous line "Squeeel Like a pig boy" They go to Voight give that other famous line "He sure got a purty mouth, I hate to see it go to waste". Further down the river before a great big waterfall, it seems that the skinny friend jumps off the canoe, or was he shot. Above on the rocks one of the rapist rednecks looking over with a rifle in hand.

This movie was a dark and thought provoking movie, that makes on think what whould they do in a situation like that. Many would not know what to do or could live with so many secrets from one trip down the river. A movie that has become a classic and a source of many redneck jokes and created new lines for people to joke around about.
