About South Central Ontario Region
The south central Ontario region of the Siberian Husky Club of Canada (SHCC) was originally divided into two seperate regions. As event locations and executives changed it made more sense to combine the regions together. Today our club encompasses one of the largest regions in Ontario and has several members. We are a fun loving group dedicated to the advancement of the Siberian Husky as a companion, show dog, obedience dog, and performing their original function running in harness. Several of our members are involved in multiple activities year round.
Yearly we offer the Kortright sprint race which is generally held the first weekend in February. In the past we have also hosted regional specialties and boosters. In the upcomning year we hope to bring back our annual fall rig run and fall specialty show. We encourage anybody who is interested in co-ordinating or helping with events to please let us know. Events rely solely on our dedicated volunteers to make things happen.
