Elliott Team Names Temporary Front Tire Changer

BRISTOL, Tenn. (April 9, 1999) -- Eddie D'Hondt, general manager of Bill Elliott Racing, announced today that Rob Fuller will temporarily serve as the team's front tire changer, starting with Sunday's Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Today's announcement comes one week after the resignation of Joe Garone, who was the crew chief and front tire changer on the McDonald's/Bill Elliott Ford Taurus.

Fuller is in his third season as the rear tire changer and tire specialist on Dale Earnhardt, Jr.'s NASCAR Busch Series car. Fuller, 25, is a native of Boleyston, Mass.

D'Hondt said that he hopes to permanently fill this position in the next two to three weeks.
