What Is Meditation?

Welcome to The Spirit of The New Age Meditation group,
I would like to take a moment to say....

If you are not familiar with meditation you may think of it in a limited sense, as a deep thought or Contemplation. On the contrary, meditation brings about the union of opposites, a balance between many factors. When we explore the conscious mind, the unconscious mind becomes involved. Sometimes we clear the mind of all thoughts; sometimes we fill it by focusing on a specific thought.

With meditation there is a balance: a union, it is considered to be "The Inner Art". The link is there intuitively. This use of the mind will connect you to the source of thinking: a deeper, more profound state.

Health, well being and fitness are positively affected by meditation.

Problem solving, habits and addictions: meditation can offer a way to control and resolve these behaviors, meditation can deliberately alter these states of behaviors by offering a different then usual problem solving approach. It involves actually altering the focus of the attention so that the problem can be dealt with on a higher level. You search within yourself for your answers.

Meditation joins the body, mind and spirit, it teaches you how to bring yourself to total peace and tranquility.
