Maverick Manchesters

I have been owned by dobes for many years,but when we decided to start showing Hubby wanted something smaller so we decided on the Manchester Terrier. We got Maverick and a love affair with this wonderful breed was born. We are now owned by Taz and Merlin. Taz is the Toy variety of the breed and Merlin is a Standard. This is Maverick---the one that got us started. He took Best of Breed in Raleigh just before this picture was taken!! We tragically lost Maverick last summer due to our neighbor's well-meaning but deadly spraying of our yard. Maverick visited nursing homes and brightened the lives of everyone that he touched. He would jump onto the bed or lap of patients and let them play with him or just snuggle. He had an uncanny sense that let him know what each patient needed.
