The Build period begins at 6:00AM PST on January 5th, 2002, where the 2002 FIRST Robotics Competition will be revealed for the first time at the main kick-off event in New Hampshire and at other remote kick-offs all over the United States. From that time one we will have one six weeks to complete our robot before we must ship it at 4:30PM on February 19th.

During these six weeks our team will be pushed to the limit in its skill, knowledge, organization, time management, dedication, devotion, and passion. This is when the fun begins....

Kick-off (January 5th):
     - Study competition rules; begin strategy brainstorming

Week 1:
     -Day 1: Strategy brainstorming; finalize strategy;
     -Day 2: Begin design brainstorming
     -Day 3: Finalize basic design
     -Day 4: Design committee meets; team begins construction of field scoring objects
     -Day 5: Design committee meets; team continues on construction of field scoring objects; begin work on crate
     -Day 6: Design committee meets; team continues on construction of field scoring objects; complete work on crate
     -Day 7: Design committee finalizes a more detailed design; team finishes construction of field scoring objects

Week 2:
     - Day 1: Begin construction of robot base, development of drive train (motors and programming), and prototyping robot components
     - By mid-week: Complete robot base; continue developing drive train and component prototypes
     - By end of week: have finalized component prototypes and functioning drive train

Week 3:
     - Begin construction of robot components

Week 4:
     - Continue construction of robot components; further develop electronics and programming

Week 5:
     - Complete robot components; begin component integration; begin finalizing programming and electronics

Week 6:
     - Complete component integration; complete programming, complete electronics; final testing
