Frog World: Behavior

Behavior: Habitat

Frogs have been able to adapt to an astounding array of environments. They live on all continents except Antartica and survive from the driest desert to the steamiest rainforest and from flat swamps to high up mountain slopes. Despite all this, frogs are still restricted by their being cold blooded. Their body temperature is dictated by the temperature of their environment. If frogs aren't careful, they can literally fry in the sun or freeze to death. Water provides and escape for the frogs. As long as there is fresh running water and enough food and shelter, the frog can survive almost anywhere. The fairly constant temperature of the water gives the frog an easy way out of hot or cold temperatures.
