We are now on mp3!   For those of you who wish to preview the CD or hear us before coming to a show, listen to The Burdens of Infatuation as a sample of our style (you will need an mp3 player to do this, so if you don't have one, check out our links page).

General Info

Eye to I is a multi-styled band from Columbia, South Carolina. We play everything from slow, jazz rock to hardcore because in order to transform emotion into music, we liberate ourselves from the bonds of traditional genres. However, our style mostly revolves around hard-edged rock. The name Eye to I is drawn from the Rush song "Chemistry" from their album Signals, and yes, Rafe, that is their best album. Our influences include Rush, Van Halen, Tool, The Cure, Korn, Nirvana, Phish, 311, Kiss, and Soundgarden among many others.

NEWS

Last October, we were banned from playing at our own Dreher High School because of a disagreement over a phrase on one of the flyers we passed around for a benefit concert. When a fan asked the authority figure responsible for the decision about the incident, he replied, "Eye to I will never perform at Dreher again as long as Andrew Moore is associated with it." However, the decision is not final as we have at least two more school-related gigs within the next two months.
