STOICHOMETRY is a fancy word for the mathematics
used to find out WHAT HAPPENED AFTER A REACTION or
what is needed to MAKE THE STUFF YOU WANT from a reaction.

The tools needed for completing stoichiometry problems are
THE LAW OF CONSERVATION OF MASS and ENERGY
Knowing the different REACTION TYPES
and some ALGEBRA

The MASS balance of a reaction begins with
COMPLETING and
BALANCING THE GIVEN EQUATION

The BASIC UNIT used to find out HOW MUCH of EACH TYPE OF STUFF is NEEDED or PRODUCED is the MOLE.
MOLES may be used to find MASSS, CONCENTRATION, VOLUME, and PRESSURE of any type of stuff in the equation.
The number of EACH ELEMENT in a BALANCED reaction is found by MULTIPLYING the element or compound COEFFICIENT by the SUBSCRIPT on one side of the equation.
The number of moles of EACH TYPE OF STUFF is found by dividing the mass by the molecular weight
. The number of grams of EACH TYPE OF STUFF is found by multiplying the number of moles by the molecular weight.
