Europa, the second Galilean satellite, has a surface composed entirel of ice. Throughout its icy surface, cracks run that circumscribe the satellie. It is believed that due to heating by the gravitational forces of Jupiter, much like on Io, that the center of the satellite is being heated, which may create a layer of liquid water under the icy surface.
