This sermon is given to strengthen our faith in God, that we, the Body of Jesus Christ, will rise up and proclaim the life changing gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost and dying world. Passage One: While in prayer, seeking the Lord for the needs of His people, the Lord revealed to me a powerful revelation. In the book of Genesis, Abram desired that God give him a son. However, due to his age he felt that it would be impossible. Abram asked the Lord..."what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless"... ( Gen 15:2 ) The Lord said to me to take a good look at the word "what", because many of His people sometimes have the same thoughts that Abram had. They feel that their "what", in other words, the thing that they ask God for, is impossible. In the text, "what" represents the thing that you have been praying concerning for so long, but feel you may never receive. Passage Two: "And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him. Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women. Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also? And the Lord said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old? Is any thing too hard for the Lord? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son."( Gen 18:10-14 ) Just as Abraham ( formerly called Abram ) and Sarah questioned God's ability to do those things that seem impossible, we too at times question God's power and ability to bring the seemingly impossible to pass. In spite of our fear, doubt, and unbelief, because of God's love for us, He gives us the desires of our heart. Beloved, God asked the question ..."is anything to hard for the Lord?"... Our "what" is not too hard for the Lord. What is it that you need from the Lord? No matter what it is, God can and will do it. Whatever you have need of, whether it be salvation, healing, or money to pay your bills, nothing is too hard for God. Just as God convinced Abraham and Sarah by performing the desired miracle in their lives, He will do the same for you. No matter how impossible it may look at the time, just remember there is no problem that God can not solve. Passage Three: "And the Lord visited Sarah as he had said, and the Lord did unto Sarah as he had spoken. For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him." ( Gen 21:1-2 ) Passage Four: "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." ( Proverbs 3:5-6 ) In closing, I want to wish you and yours seasons greetings and a happy new year, and to remind you that your miracle is on the way!
