In this brief sermon from the Bible, I will show the people of God how to apply the power that God has given them by His spirit, and how this supernatural power enables us to overcome all power of the devil. My prayer is that this teaching will encourage you by building your faith and bring you to a new spiritual level in the Lord. God has promised to give us the power to be victorious in this life. As born-again, spirit-filled, children of God, our faith should be in the power of God to heal, bless, and deliver us. Passage One: Paul said,"and my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstrating of the spirit and of power, that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men but in the power of God." ( I Cor. 2:4;5 ) Passage Two: "...but ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you." ( Acts 1:8 ) God sent the Holy Ghost so believers could overcome sin, sickness, and disease. Do you need God's supernatural power working in your life? Perhaps you have already received the Holy Ghost, but are unsure of how to release the power of God to bring about victory in your life. One releases the power of God by having faith in the name of Jesus, the only begotten Son of God. Moreover, the Bible teaches us to have faith in the name of Jesus to rise up above adversaries and tribulations. Passage Three: "..And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong..." ( Acts 3:16 ) In closing, I would like to leave you with these scriptures: "...and the power of the Lord was present to heal them..."( Luke 5:17 ) "...Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you..."( St. John 16:23 )
