In this brief sermon from the Bible, I will show the people of God how to apply the wisdom that God has given them by His spirit, and how this supernatural wisdom enables us to overcome all power of the devil. My prayer is that this teaching will encourage you by building your faith and bring you to a new spiritual level in the Lord. Passage One: "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God that giveth to all men liberally…and it shall be giveth him." (James 5:1) "God giveth wisdom. Out of his mouth come understanding…" (Prov. 2:16) God has revealed to me that His children lack the "wisdom of God" in their life. Unlike faith, which comes by hearing and believing the word of God, wisdom does not automatically come -- we have to ask God for wisdom. Let us examine three important elements that God has made available to the child of God. First of all, there is knowledge, which is the accumulation of facts and truths that we learn through reading, studying, and meditating in the Word of God. Secondly, there is understanding, which is the ability to correctly arrange the facts. Thirdly and most importantly, there is wisdom, which is the correct application of these facts. With the wisdom of God, we can walk into any circumstance or situation and know what to do to come out victorious. Passage Two: "Solomon asked God for wisdom and knowledge…" (II Chron. 1:10) In the first chapter of II Chronicles, God told Solomon to ask Him "what shall I give thee." Verse eleven states that Solomon desired the wisdom of God, because he asked it of the Lord from his heart, in faith. Verse twelve tells us that God granted him the wisdom and knowledge he requested. Wisdom and knowledge is the will of God for every child of God. It is the counsel or advice of God, that enables us to prosper and succeed in the affairs of life. This in turn brings about total fulfillment and victory for the people of God. Passage Three: Jesus said, "for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all you adversaries will not be able to gainsay or resist." (Luke 21:15) Be assured that God has placed in your mouth divine wisdom that you may be able to speak and have the know how to solve the problems of life!
