Sky Starts Falling

You're in a mansion * But it's really kind of bleak * You try to climb the mountain *

But you cannot reach the peak * You solve the puzzle * But the answer makes no sense * You're trying to get comfortable *

While sitting on a fence * Looking to the left * And looking to the right * It's a scary situation * So forever you'll sit tight

Will you be ready * When the sky starts falling * And even when it crumbles * Will you still be stalling *

Which way to run away * Can't escape the calling * Will you be ready *

When the sky starts falling away * Falling away

The doctor says you're cured * But the doctor's nearly dead * Can't you see the problem's with * Your heart and not your head *

You say you want an answer * To the problem though a cure * Has been sitting right in * Front of you * But still you can't be sure

Chicken little could've given * You advice * When he turned his head to heaven * Do you think he thought twice?

Will you be ready * When the sky starts falling * And even when it crumbles * Will you still be stalling * Which way to run away *

Can't escape the calling * Will you be ready * When the sky starts falling away * Falling away

The free man puts his life in chains * And dies himself while the * Prisoner gains * A sight that chills you to the core *

And once you've seen it * How can you ignore?

I.B.I.J.T.O.F.W.

I find it hard to believe that * A fish walked on land * And started evolution * When his fins hit the sand *

Or that some green blob sprouted * Arms while sitting on a log * I find it hard to believe * I have the mind of a frog

I believe in Jesus * In the old fashioned way * I believe that he is coming * Back again some day

I find it hard to believe * That men were all apes * And they wandered this land of * Plenty with bananas and grapes *

And then one day ape became man - * Now ain't that terrific * But just quite how, we are not * Sure, we can't be specific

I believe in Jesus * In the old fashioned way * I believe that he is coming * Back again some day

I find it hard to believe * That there's no purpose to life * Just gathering my money * And finding a wife *

I find it hard to believe * That I'm just living to die * (No, no, no, no) * I don't believe it * And I'll tell you why

I believe in Jesus * In the old fashioned way * I believe that he is coming * Back again some day

Two Answers

I stop for a moment to think and the hours go by * Too many questions of why, where and how *

I seem to get two answers, two answers * I cannot tell just what to do * There seems to be not a clue *

But if there is truth, show it to me * Not two answers, two answers

La la la la...

To make a decision some say just to follow your heart * It seems to tear me apart *

Still so unsure, caught in between * The two answers, two answers * My life's mistake and biggest regret *

Or my greatest decision as yet * Will you stand by me * As I choose one of these * Two answers, two answers

La la la la...

My life is in you, I must keep believing * The decision I make is where you are leading * Where you are leading

La la la la...

Face in the Rain

Heard a song on the radio * Wanting proof, yeah, something to show * Why God would bother coming back *

When we killed him off the first time

Sounds just like what you'd say * Why would Jesus die anyway * To take away the sins I have * I'll make them right myself just fine

I said I don't understand your point of view * You say you're open to the change *

but it's the last thing that you do * Instead you hold to your idea of grace * And hope that it will stay *

But the truth has come * And washed the mask away * I see your face in the rain

On a search for the real truth * Not faith, no, you just want proof * Well if seeing is believing * Then what do you hope to find

You say you search with an open mind * But if it's Christ then never mind * The logic of your situation * Doesn't hold its own

Think twice before you give me all that attitude * I'm not saying this for my own sake * Or some slap of grattitude*

But you've crowned yourself to be a king * And then pretend to reign * But in this royalty *

There's nothing left to gain * I see your face in the rain

I can't define what's right and wrong * In the context of this song * But there's more to life than just ten lines *

Whether you live them out or not * But when you mask it and hide the pain * I see your face staring in the rain *

You know better than that * To be living this way * Stop living in a masquerade * Will you turn from a face in the rain?

I said I don't understand your point of view * You say you're open to the change * but it's the last thing that you do *

Instead you hold to your idea of grace * And hope that it will stay * But the truth has come *

And washed the mask away * I see your face in the rain

Until the Time

In axiousness and eagerness * Or maybe my own selfishness * I want to do much more before you some *

To grow old with the passing days * And live this life in all its ways * But will it satisfy me when I'm done

Oh how long must we wait and struggle with this world * Until the time that you will come and take us home *

Sometimes I long to stay, but in truth I'll not be happy * Until the time you come and take us to your home

Seeing friends and seeing family * I start to face reality * That maybe they won't be with you and me * I do all I can do for them *

But I feel completely helpless when * Their herats are so closed they'll let no love come through

Oh how long must we wait and struggle with this world * Until the time that you will come and take us home *

Sometimes I long to stay, but in truth I'll not be happy * Until the time you come and take us to your home

I pushed my goals and wants aside * I'm sick of the workd and how I've tried * Without success to try and reflect you *

Take me now - I can't take anymore * No I can't go on with what I'm fighting for * Heaven is waiting, start my life anew

Oh how long must we wait and struggle with this world * Until the time that you will come and take us home *

Sometimes I long to stay, but in truth I'll not be happy * Until the time you come and take us to your home

Turn Around in Circles

In the book you read it * But you just can't see it * Throw the pages in the fire * And you'll just see then burn

It's a game you're playing * And I've heard ewhat you're saying * But it's not the kind of lesson * That you're likely to learn

Turn around in circles * Turn around in circles * Turn and find your way back home *

Turn around in circles * Turn around in circles * Turn and find your way back home

It's a joke - the rat race * I can see it in your face * Working hard to get somewhere * You don't want to be

Buy the house, the mercedes * And impress all the ladies * But there's more to life than money * And that's what you must see

Turn around in circles * Turn around in circles * Turn and find your way back home *

Turn around in circles * Turn around in circles * Turn and find your way back home

Settle down, stop turning * 'Cause I know what you're yearning for * Stop for just a minute * And focus your eyes

And you'll find your desire * From the page in the fire * Standing on the stone * With the sun in the sky

Turn around in circles * Turn around in circles * Turn and find your way back home *

Turn around in circles * Turn around in circles * Turn and find your way back home

Sofa Logic

So I'm not so smart when you look at me * But there's more than you can see right here *

I've got a plan that kicks, gonna make me rich * And buy an awfully big amount of beer *

It can be mine - one day I will succeed * But for the present I am content * And I can learn a lot from this T.V.

Do you want a soda pop? * Tea doesn't take you to the top, you see

Twenty four hours in a given day * And you multiply that by nine * Times ten four means the cash will pour *

Into my lap and keep me feeling fine * Yeah good things come to those who get up for the chase *

I'll get myself in gear * But there's a little problem I know face, it's that

I'm not myself, I just can't understand * Comprimise has gotten way out of hand * Sofa logic *

I'm not myself, I just can't understand * Comprimise has gotten way out of hand *

Just can't see what's ailing me * Stagnation, maybe do re mi fa so * Sofa logic

Now that my hopes are sinking * I've done some big rethinking * Maybe this is not my line of work * (Ditch work - let's play) *

I need it fast and easy * Don't wanna be to busy * That's the way I've always planned * But now I find that

Somewhere out along the way here * The great scheme to make it work - * It disappeared

Come help me off this sofa * Excuse the mess now, won't ya * I've hit inspiration * I'll save the human race *

From all its greed and its disgrace * As long as someone offers me the right amount * But now I need some help 'cause

I'm not myself, I just can't understand * Comprimise has gotten way out of hand * Sofa logic *

I'm not myself, I just can't understand * Comprimise has gotten way out of hand * Just can't see what's ailing me *

Stagnation, maybe do re mi fa so * Sofa logic

Love and Co.

I would say that I like you * If I thought that you would care * 'Cause this obsessive flirting * Isn't going anywhere *

I want to try and show you that * I really can be cool * But when my mouth starts flapping * I start sounding like a fool *

But I want...

Love and company * Tenderness and sympathy * These are the things I'm longing for *

Not sex (No!), not a one night stand * Just a walk by the water * As I'm holding your hand *

I've been looking around for somebody thats true * Now I'm looking at you

I want to do some things * And spend some time with someone * Not sex or drugs or alcohol * Just good old fashioned fun! *

And you - you seem so perfect * Well, in almost every way * So I hope you can decipher what I am trying to say *

'Cause I want...

Love and company * Tenderness and sympathy * These are the things I'm longing for * Not sex (No!), not a one night stand *

Just a walk by the water * As I'm holding your hand * I've been looking around for somebody thats true * Now I'm looking at you

Now that I have told you this * I'm feeling deathly sick * 'Cause maybe being so honest * Was indeed not very slick *

But I can't help this attraction * 'Cause I know that you're so fine * And I swear I'll never rest * Until the day I make you mine *

'Cause I want...

Love and company * Tenderness and sympathy * These are the things I'm longing for * Not sex (No!), not a one night stand *

Just a walk by the water * As I'm holding your hand * I've been looking around for somebody thats true * Now I'm looking at you

Will She Ever See

A heavy burden on my heart * Deepest longing, I know it comes from you * For the one who seems so close *

Yet still so far away * So close to you * But still far from the truth

The pain, the hurting and frustration * That you feel for a friend who is in need *

And although I know her life is in your hands, Lord * Sometimes I feel my own heart start to bleed

Will she ever see the light * And see through the darkness * With your sight *

Lord, I continue on with this fight * But tell me, will she ever know?

She is calling out to you * But her answer comes from another source * She reaches out her hand *

And tries to grasp hold of the truth * But your love is twisted * By the people of this world

I have prayed day and night for her, Lord * That you would reap the seeds that you have sown *

But no matter what I do it seems so helpless * And at times like these I really need to know

Will she ever see the light * And see through the darkness * With your sight *

Lord, I continue on with this fight * But tell me, will she ever know?

Simple Song

This isn't a rebel song, its a simple song...

A simple song of simple truth * Things so plain they need no proof *

A chance to state the obvious * A chance to pass a simple test

I think better with my glasses off * I sing better when I haven't a cough *

I don't know what tomorrow brings * But cats meow and birds have wings

The sky is blue, the grass is green * Simple truth is plainly seen *

Don't get mixed in between * Simple truth is plainly seen

Light is bright and dark is not * I don't know what I forgot * Seven dys are in each week * There is water in a creek

Happiness is relative * Based upon the way we live * Ther's a hole inside yourself * There's a Bible on your shelf

The sky is blue, the grass is green * Simple truth is plainly seen * Don't get mixed in between * Simple truth is plainly seen

God created Heaven and Earth * God made man and gave him birth * Man was bad and ran away * Jesus came to save the day

This is our song of simple truth * Things so plain they need no proof * You may choose to disagree * But this is our philosophy

The sky is blue, the grass is green * Simple truth is plainly seen * Don't get mixed in between * Simple truth is plainly seen

Hope and purpose * A sense of love * When your feeling worthless

Peace and belonging * Deep down inside * It's what we're searching for

Hate and anger * Builds in your life * Tears you apart

We need forgiveness * Someone to leave our burdens with

(Oh Oh) You search for it by sight and sound * (Oh Oh) Listen, this is what I've found

He is the one that set me free * Jesus is the man for me * If God's your father, then call home

Tired of losing * Wanna change yourself - * You don't know how

Knocked down and turned around * Is there a point to even going on

Yes, there's a reason * Jesus cares, he wants to help * He's a God of love and a God of Mercy *

And a God who wants to be close to you

(Oh Oh) Just have some faith and you will see * (Oh Oh) That God is really family

He is the one that set me free * Jesus is the man for me * If God's your father, then call home

Are you happy - Talk to Him * Are you sad - Talk to Him

In any friendship, there's communication * And He wants to hear all your doubts and troubles *

He wants to share all your deepest pain

(Oh Oh) Just have some faith and you will see * (Oh Oh) That God is really family

He is the one that set me free * Jesus is the man for me * If God's your father, then call home
