Biollante

    After Godzilla raided Tokyo in "Godzilla 1985", some tissue samples were found.  These tissues contained the very valuable Godzilla cells which contained a fast growing and self reproductive property.  These cells wanted to be used to construct a wheat crop that could be grown in the desert.  However through government tensions these cells were lost.  Once found they were given to a scientist who specialized in genetic engineering.  However the scientist fused the Godzilla cells with that of a rose.  The scientist beleived his daughter's soul was part of the rose and wanted to keep her alive.  Through the plant/Godzilla hybrid the giant rose entity, Biollante, was formed.

    Biollante not only was a part of Godzilla's family,but WAS Godzilla since both Biollante and Godzilla created the same cells.  Biollante called out to Godzilla and once meeting the two confronted in battle.  However Godzilla was no match for Godzilla's atomic heat blast and quickly fell.  Biollante turned into spores and headed towards space.  After the battle Godzilla proceeded to energize seeking a nuclear plant.  On his way Biollante's spores relanded on Earth and rematerialzed into a new evolved Biollante.

    Biollante managed to stop Godzilla only because of a rare Anti-Nuclear Bacteria created by the humans which was injected into Godzilla.  This bacteria caused Godzilla to merely stop fighting and return to the sea.  After the battle Biollante once more returned to his spore form and ascended into space.
