    Let’s Make Window Decorations!
    Toddler Craft:
    You Need:

Finger Paint (Recipe below if needed)     White Paper     Scissors
If you don’t have finger paint, you can make it by adding together
in a medium size bowl:  1/4 Cup Liquid Starch, 2 drops food coloring
OR 1 tsp. powder paint   (make as many colors as you like)
Have your toddler experience finger painting by letting him ‘squish’
the colors together on the paper (it’s also a good idea to dress him
in yucky clothes or put an apron over him).  After he’s done, let it
dry and than cut out shapes.  Cut leaves, pumpkins, scarecrows, etc.,
    and tape onto the windows.

    Crayon Fun

    You Need:

Grated crayons (any colors)     Wax paper
Scissors (always have an adult help you cut and iron things)
         Iron on Warm setting     Newspaper

Begin by grating crayons into a bowl.  Cover the ironing board
to make sure it stays clean.  Cut out 2 squares of wax paper
(same size) and lay one square on the ironing board.  Sprinkle crayon
shavings on it, lay the other square over it. Put another piece of
newspaper on top. Ask an adult to help you iron the squares until
the crayon melts.  Wait for it to cool down and cut into shapes and
    hang on a window.

    I Can Cook!
    Roasted Pumpkin Seeds

    You Need:

    Preheat oven to 250o
2 Cups Pumpkin Seeds (save the seeds from the pumpkins you carve)
    1 1/2 Tbsp Peanut Oil
1 tsp Salt (or to taste)
Have your child help you scoop out the seeds and wash and dry them.
In a large skillet, stir seeds and oil for 3 minutes, until oil coats
seeds thoroughly.  Pour onto a cookie sheet and bake for 30 minutes
in a 250o degree oven.  Bake longer if needed.  Spread on paper towels
    and cool.  Enjoy!
