The SAW2010 Steering Committee is made up of four sub-committies:
Service Connection (Intervention) Committee
Goals:
- Create a clear, concise tool like the ASSIST document that can be used by many different people in the community. Would include a list of "triage questions" and a flow chart list of services.
Distribute to guidance counselors, police officers, ministers, etc.
- Possibly have short training seminars for members of the community wanting to be a "Service Connection" point.

Recognition & Recruitment Committee
Goals:
- Facilitate the Caring Connections Award
- Distribute nomination forms along with information about the award.
- Purchase a plaque for each school and have the winner's name engraved on the nameplate.
- Facilitate the presentation of the award in each school.
- Begin planning the next rally.

Community Meetings Committee
- Continue holding bi-monthly community meetings.

Education Committee
- Facilitate SAW2010 community gang awareness presentations using our educational binder.
- Presentations to be done with small groups: for example, Church Groups, Lions Clubs, Scouts, etc.
- Leave educational binder with organization after the presentation so they may use it as a reference tool.
