| Medical Profile: | Bearing the scars from his assault by Starfleet Intellegence/Security forces, he also is known for having a key area of his brain adjusted, allowing him to not be affected by pheromones, most especially those from Orion slavegirls. His left knee required surgery after leading an assault mission on a Vorta cloning facility during the war. He also has slivers of the metal Naquada in his arm due to combat action with the Breen. |
| In keeping with the protocols for the Emissary Class Destroyer Program, Colonel Keron was subjected to a full battery of psychological tests. While being a very private and internal in public, he supresses for the most part his more tender side. Very aggressive and used to being in control at all times, he's known for controlling situations as well as known for a rather violent temper when viewing betrayals of trust. However he remains in control and was approved for command of his own Emissary Destroyer. | Psych Profile: |
| Personal Details: | Born the only son of a merchant captain and a suspected upper level member of the Orion Syndicate, Mik Keron was born Mike Keron, but with an older cousin named Mike, he legally changed his name at the age of 18 to Mik. A genius in engineering matters, Mik was building his own shuttle by age 12, and holds a certified civilian pilot's rating.
Applying to Starfleet Academy at age 19, he was accepted. However two weeks before the opening week of classes, he was detained, held, and interrogated for 12 days before releasing him without charges. Starfleet Security claimed they followed an open warrant on his family in concern to his father's ties to the Orion Syndicate. Mik promptly resigned his admission into the Academy. Recently, declassified Starfleet Security interrogation room recordings have come to appear, in which Mik Keron was beaten and even tortured during that period. The beatings has left him with a scar on his back that he has not had removed, nor does he talk about. Following his resignation, he went to work for his father's company, his skills at engineering, piloting, and organization put him in good stead, allowing him to enhance his Father's work. Following his father's death, Mik took over his father's holdings, using them and his skills to advance into becoming a high-level member of the Orion Syndicate. On a tip following an incident with the USS Polaris, Mik Keron left Earth suddenly and was seen on Deep Space Nine. Then in late 2421 he officially renounced his Federation citizenship and became a Bajoran citizen. Three days later one of his top Lieutenants was killed in an accident on the way to see the Federation prosecutor. Following the attacks on Earth led by Admiral William Cartwright, Mik approached the newly elected President William Riker with an offer from the Orion Syndicate. Though it is only rumor what they have discussed, Mik Keron was granted a full Presidential pardon for all prior acts in regard to the Orion Syndicate, though part of the condition requires that he not attempt to hide his former activities from Starfleet Intel or Security. However, any current activities in the Syndicate are not covered. Thus far, Mik Keron has seemingly pulled out of all illegitimate activities within the Federation. Mik has since become married to Devra Andora, Bajoran Defense Council's head of the Vekara Shipyard, and the woman he'd been seeing romantically for some time. He now has two children, a son and daughter. |
![]() Mik recieved his commission as a Captain in the Bajoran Militia months before officially renouncing his Federation citizenship. Following graduating from Command School at the Militia Academy, he was promoted to Major, and assigned at his request as liaison officer to Deep Space Nine. A Bajoran citizen in more than just name, Keron embraced the Bajoran culture, he has often been seen in Temple. Serving on the station as liaison officer until Line Captain Sheridan asked him to take over as Chief of Security. Major Keron cracked down on the security of the station, enacting security measures to keep the station clear of any changeling intruders that still are in place today. When the Second Dominion War started it's fever pitch, Major Keron requested transfer to a Bajoran attack force that was part of the Alliance forces. Commanding a Bajoran Cruiser for several months in combat, he participated in the Battle of Idran. For his bravery he was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel. Not returning to the station until the end of the war, Colonel Keron had already achieved a war record that proved him an able tactician and leader. Bajoran leaders found themselves viewing him as less of the outsider in Bajoran uniform, but a Bajoran in an outsider form. Following the war, he returned to Deep Space Nine as Chief of Station Security, and also became more involved in Bajoran affairs, including taking his late cousin's work and modifying it into the Bajoran Defense Grid designed from the events of the Coalition of Allied Planets attack upon Earth. Following the biological agent attack upon Bajor, Colonel Keron has been involved in the rebuilding effort of the Bajoran people and government. He was also a part of the crew that retrieved the Holy Grail and used it to save Bajor. With a promotion in early 2433 to Full Colonel, Colonel Keron remains a fixture in Bajoran affairs. A bitter and vocal opponent of anything less than an independent Bajoran system his views favor neither the Federation or the then Coalition (Now Confederation). His views as a Separatist made him part of the minority among Bajoran officials, however Keron's finances even now make him a serious threat to the political leaders of Bajor. Though he enjoys popularity with them for his records and numerous contributions to them. Many in the Bajoran government have begun to fear that Mik intends to make a run into politics, however thus far his stated ambition is to continue his military service. Before the CIS membership of Bajor, then Colonel Keron went before a closed session of the Bajoran government to propose a new ship project for Bajoran defense. The approved project, the Emissary Class Destroyer Program, was handed over to the Bajoran Defense Council, where Mik assigned it to Director Devra Andora, his to be wife. |

With the Bajoran entrance into the Confederation of Independent Systems, Colonel Keron remains loyal to Bajor, even though it meant having to work for President Cartwright, a man he once vocally and publicly condemned as the "Greatest threat to peace". Starfleet Intelligence ran an investigation into Keron on a hunch the hostility between the two was more a public relations angle. As Colonel Keron was easily accepted by Starfleet to the posting of liaison officer because of his anti-Cartwright views. However the investigation revealed that while the two were close, a fact admitted to by Keron, the two became entrenched in opposing viewpoints as to the future of the CIS. The eventual death of ex-President Cartwright at Keron's hands ironically proved a Starfleet Intel suggestion that one of them would kill the other. The Vekara Shipyards, where Director Andora works, has been the site of the Emissary Class Destroyer Project. Having been to Command School and having undergone the testing, he is certified for command of an Emissary Destroyer. Mik was the Commanding Officer of the Emissary during her two and a half week shakedown cruise. The design was proven so be so effective against Wraith ships in combat, that even to date an Emissary destroyer remains a highly sought after posting. However he chose to remain on Deep Space Nine until the destruction of the station by the Wraith. Colonel Keron was involved in the final battles of the Wraith War and was aboard the Defiant for the final battle which destroyed the Veridian III planetship. For this action the CIS Council elevated him into the position a great hero of the war, a position shared only by the media shy Commander Malik (later found out to be Khan). Following the final battle of the Wraith War, and the Prophet's return, bringing Bajor and Deep Space Nine back into existance, Colonel Keron was recalled to Avalon, where he was promoted to the rank of Commander. Asked by the Council to name his replacement to Deep Space Nine, he chose Colonel Sayer. He was given command of the CSV Phantom Wing, though at first he remained on Avalon. There he fell slightly out of favor with the Council that had elevated him to the status of a war hero, when he warned the Council that Presidential elections were needed immediately. Further expanding on the threat, suggesting that the longer a civilian authority vacuum remained, the more tempting for a military coup to fill the vacancy. A warning that was proven later the next year when Commander Malik was revealed to be the eugenics leader, Khan. Following this, his command was sent on border marking and patrol duty, deploying sensor buoys along the CIS border with the Breen. There on he had several encounters with Breen ships, culminating in a full out battle between a Breen Warship and his Emissary Destroyer. The Phantom Wing was damaged but the Breen Warship was left crippled. A full out war was avoided when Breen and CIS reinforcements arrived when Commander Keron transmitted the sensor logs indicating the Breen Warship had crossed over into CIS space and attacked the Phantom Wing. Both sides stood down and the Breen government formally apologized to the CIS Council for the attack. The Phantom Wing was recalled to Avalon after repairs, and Keron was commended by the Council for his actions.
Keron went on to an assignment on attached duty to the CIS Training Academy on Bajor, taking senior cadets in rotation through training for life on an Emissary Destroyer. The posting of Commodant of all CIS training facilities was offered to him, and he was in the process of considering taking on the assignment when Starfleet requested him specifically to return as Liason to Deep Space Nine. After much consideration, he agreed to accept the reassignment, bringing his command ship with him to the station. Commander Keron has taken his heroic status to push for what he feels are needed reforms to the CIS training centers and to push for a higher standard for officers of the CIS. The Commander has a private staff of civilian advisors on Bajor, with rumors spreading that he is indeed considering a political run for the Presidency of the CIS. Twice since his return from the Breen border incident he has appeared in civilian attire at the Council and has given hints that he would consider the Presidency. Intellegence sources reveal that his popularity among the military and his strong ties to Bajor so far push the odds in his favor. Some members of the Council, considering their own runs for the Presidency see Keron as either the ally to have for a bid, or a rather strong competitor. |
Pan-Galactic Trading Imporium (Headquarters: Bajor VI) - An import/export business known for acquiring and transporting the rare, hard to get, and high quality items. Federation Intellegence sources have discovered that the company during the height of the Second Dominion War purchased an outdated Cardassian Military Shipyard and has moved it to an unknown location. Intellegence sources have yet to discover the reasons for this. In the last few years other dockyard facilities or potential upgrade materials have been purchased. However, Starfleet Security and Intellegence have yet to figure the location or intent. Galaxy Replication Corporation (Headquarters: Bajor VIII) - A personal replicator dealer/manufacturer also known for creating Dabo tables. Recently this corporation has expanded it's operations to a large station based factory near Bajor VI. Starfleet Security has observed numerous transports with the Pan-Galactic logo coming to and from the station based factory complex, however none have docked at any Starfleet facility besides Deep Space Nine, and has thus far in all cases at Deep Space Nine been cleared of any contraband or cargo supplies. Starfleet Security suspects Colonel Keron is falsifying or misleading inspections, but no charges or evidence exists to the contrary. However recently no ships have docked at DS9. Interstellar Agricultural Manufacturers (Headquarters: New Zealand, Earth) - A corporation dedicated to making and developing agricultural equipment for export. A new construction facility was built near the outer reaches of Federation space, for reasons unknown. A undercover Starfleet Security agent managed to infiltrate the facility, only to discover the high volume production of some sort of vats, however the purpose of them is unknown at this time. The agent had to be pulled following this discovery.
Bajoran Defense Council (Headquarters: Rakantha Province, Bajor) - Founded by Mik Keron and several members of the Bajoran government, the Bajoran Defense Council was an organization seeking Bajoran independence and pushing towards the formation of a Bajoran Fleet capable of defending Bajor's interests. The organization fundamentally supports the idea of a strong and independent Bajor. Following his promotion to Lieutenant Colonel, the Bajoran Defense Council (BDC) has expanded from a mere organization into a corporation, with Keron as Chairman of the Board. The change made the BDC a civilian run company that seems to be a "jack of all trades" from armament to ship building. The BDC produced the defense platforms used in the Bajoran System Defense Grid. Further Starfleet Intellegence noted that the BDC has been hiring Bajoran designers and even retired Starfleet ship designers to a secure facility on Bajor VIII. Starfleet Intellegence has been unsuccessful in gaining access to either the designers or the facility. Recent reports have revealed that the BDC has expanded it's services to refurbishing decommissioned shipyard facilities and been working jointly with Bajoran and CIS military forces on projects that Starfleet Intellegence has yet to fully uncover. It was recently publically revealed that the BDC and the Bajoran Militia jointly created the Destroyer Emissary. It is suspected that this is the first of the BDC's plans for ships for the Bajorans and the CIS. |
