Welcome to the On30 Sierra Pacific web site. This railroad is currently in the planning stages but will be a twist on On30. Since I can't afford the locomotives for On3, I've decided to compromise by doing On30 but using On3 cars with On30 or re-gauged trucks. I'll use Bachmann On30 engines for now but will upgrade them profusely. The railroad will be based on the Carson & Colorado, the Pacific Railroad and other 3 foot narrow gauge lines. The gauge difference between On3 and On30 is only 1/8". I don't see this as a major problem. I'm not a rivet counter so a little difference makes no difference. It will be a fictional free-lance road running between the fictious towns of Casarina, The Springs Resort, and on into Melancona. The area is somewhere in the Sierra Nevada higher elevations where road traffic is at a minimum. As soon as I get to building I will add pictures to this site. Thanks for looking in.
