Donated by Glaurung -taken from Twomi's forum "some tips for new reavers" there are 4 layers in the guild, those are advanced by gathering destructive energy. ( you can be a level 30 reaver at layer 1 or lvl 5 reaver at layer 4 ). the higher layer you are at, the better skills and spells you have. some skills & spells have a clear line in them like: scythe swipe, rampant cutting, reaver strike, blood harvest.. when you get the skill for a new layer, you wont need the old one other things are the damatype skills.. damatypespell, damatypeskill, damatype areaeffectskill etc.. some skilsl just have higher max percentages on different layers.. dodgemax is 25, 50, 75 on layers 1,2,3... the suffelilayer is 3rd one, you get dodgemax of 75, you get to train mastery of destruction which makes all your spells very much more effective ( specially the selfheal ,) ) stuff like that, you can figure out the rest im sure.. coupla pointers about gathering energy: if you hurt mobs with reaverskills/spells, you will get energy, more if you get the killing blow. not sure what the percentage is but bigger mobs need more skills spells. if the mob resists your damage with the skills/spells, it doesnt count towards gaining energy. if you see the message target WAS DESTROYED you got energy, sometimes you get a message saying how much ( tiny, large VAST etc). other ways are destroying equipment off monsters ( or players perhapss) and you get that extra energy once you kill the mob. another way is word of attrition, you will get energy by destroying items on the ground with it ( though very little, and dont think of abusing reagents with it, that was fixed AGES ago =) ) pkilling nuns also yields some pretty decent energy, the higher the nun ( level or totals, dunno) the more you get energy. losing energy: if you dont gain new energy in few days ( i dunno.. 4-7 days) you will lose some.. so if you are just idling, atleast go kill a fly or cast word of attrition at iron spoon or something to reset the timer. hmmhmm what else.. ahh yes.. using prayer to destruction will sometimes show you how much energy you have gained towards the next layer... i guess that poretty much covers the faq ,) edit: fixed some typos ------------------------------------------------------------- Short follow-up post (2nd post in forum in that topic) below. ------------------------------------------------------------- ahh yes.. word of spite.. it does magical damage, but it also checks psi resists.. so spiting undeads might not work ,)
