Chichi

"Honestly, escaping through the window. How juvenile can they get? They'll come crawling back around dinnertime."

In Dragon Ball, we first meet Chichi as a young girl, wandering the dangerous lands surrounding Mount Frypan. The palace atop Mount Frypan, where she lived with her father the Ox King, was aflame, and she couldn't return there until the fire was put out. And it was during these wanderings that she got lost, only to be found by Goku. And she fell for him... big time.

Much later, we see Chichi again at the Tenkaichi Budokai... but this time, as a young woman. And this young woman was on a mission. She was going to get Goku to marry her, and this was her plan: before their match, she proposed that, if she loses, he could marry her. Goku apparently had no idea what "marriage" was, so he sweetly agreed, as he always does. And while Chichi was definitely one of the best fighters on the planet, she couldn't defeat Goku (even if she wanted to), and Goku won himself a bride. Their wedding took place on the last episodes of the series.

Then comes Dragon Ball Z, and we discover that Chichi has turned in her weapons for an apron. For now, she was a wife and mother, and had household responsibilities that eclipsed fighting. But, don't misjudge Chichi... no matter how domestic she became, she always had a warrior's spirit. She hurried to defend Gohan in the movie Deadzone, and throughout the Saiyan Saga attempted to rescue her baby, armed with oozies galore. In the Namek Saga, she was ready and willing to follow Gohan and Goku to Namek, and would've left Earth, if the Z-Senshi hadn't returned first. And while she tried desperately to maintain Gohan's innocence by trying to shield him from fighting, she realized when raising her second son Goten, her men would always be called to defend the planet. And so she trained Goten herself, and he managed to achieve the might of Super Saiyan.

Chichi is famous for her abbrasive manner, short temper, and culinary talent. She is by far weaker than any of the Z-Senshi, but all she has to do is raise her voice and the boys tremble. She is absolutely fearless when it comes to her own safety... it is always the well-being of her family that brings her concern.
