Thank you everyone who joined and participated in the Progression guild that I founded on the Test server.
Now, I know that many of you might be wondering why exactly the doors have closed, and I know that none of you have heard from my perspective what happened behind the scenes, so to speak. For the sake of being a professional leader, I was not going to give the details about what happened. But I am now, and I don't care what anyone thinks or has to say about it at this point.
I founded this guild. It was my idea, and I gathered all of the original members. Let people blow smoke up your ass all they want, but the so called "recruiters" were recruited by me. The entire concept of a Progression guild on Test was started by me.
Omgmo and Biqq were two of my original officers in the guild. Biqq was always a great officer, until his final night as one. I was questioned in our officer channel as to whether or not we could kill the enchanter epic mob in Neriak 3rd Gate while we were there for Vorshar. The answer was no, because the enchanter epic mob does not drop any additional loot other than an epic piece. We were not doing any epic kills until Kunark. As far as the rogue epic "General" in Kithicor is concerned for those who were unaware, the General was an original era mob who used to be a static spawn after the Fall of Bloody Kithicor event. He was later changed to be spawned manually when Rogues could never do their epic because he was perma-killed. Same deal with Trakanon for Bards. When this was announced, Biqq decided to totally fly off the handle and tried to claim that the only reason I wanted to kill the General was because it dropped tank gear. Yeah, ok... Riiiight. It couldn't have anything to do with the fact that we were supposed to be raiding 2-3 nights a week and only had 4 targets that we could kill in one night. Additional targets = bad apparently. So then, in the middle of the raid, Biqq disbands from the guild, while at the time I was trying to tell him that we'd settle things in our officer forum and decide how things would be.
Omgmo, now this is another story. As some of our earlier members will recall, we had our original forums at FreeForums.org and they kept crashing. So I went and got PAID web space and Omgmo volunteered to setup some forums there. So, I was like, ok cool. So Omgmo sets us up these forums on my web space, and that's all he was permitted to do there. Well, that and the DKP site. So the night comes when Biqq leaves the guild. I was on the DKP site and noticed that none of the items were showing stats like they were supposed to. So I sent Omgmo an IM on AOL to ask him to fix it (as he'd been handling all Admin work) and then he blocked me. And I know he blocked me, because I always have more than one screen name on at a time, being I have multiple computers.
So with my current Administrator refusing to do Admin work, I went ahead and asked webjewel who was a friend of mine to take over. She didn't know anyone here, and she doesn't play EQ. She went through my web account and found that Omgmo had made himself a user name and password to get into my web space, so even after I changed my passwords he could still get in. (Which he had no business in there, doing admin on EQdkp or Forums does not require access to my web space after the initial setup.) Then she found folders and everything else he'd created on my web space without my consent. So what happened between Omgmo and me was a personal thing and not related to the guild directly. He's a thief and he got pissed off when he was caught, plain and simple. After he was reduced to the rights of a normal officer and didn't have the power to access the Administration panel anymore he started to flame me on the forums and call me a control freak. I'm sorry, but when someone is doing underhanded and sneaky things behind my back they don't deserve access to my paid space.
Biqq tries to play himself off as the formal diplomat and claims that he was the public relations man for the guild. Riiiight. It's great public relations to flip out and then disband from a guild in the middle of a raid over an issue that didn't even involve you. But hey, I don't expect any of you to believe me, and at this point I don't really care, but I'm going to speak my mind and the real truth now.
Aashwinn, she was a wonderful person, wasn't she? The one officer I ever had who was willing to bend over backwards to help anyone who needed it. Do you know why she's not around now? You can thank Omgmo and Biqq for that. Their forums made her sound like a cheating whore. But you know what? Aashwinn is a married woman and she might be a little flirty, but she's got a heart of gold and she's loyal to her husband. Aashwinn A`Taladh is also not a cheater. Yes, she needed a big chunk of platinum to make the Rebreathers. Did she buy that platinum or transfer it from another server? No, just lies that Omgmo and Biqq let spread to slander her. Aashwinn was offered 300,000 platinum for tradeskills by a Test player that she originally turned down. After we tracked Hadden's drop rate and realized he wasn't going to drop enough Fishbone Earrings in time, we had to review our other options for Enduring Breath items. Guess what? In EQ Classic there were about 500 little tinkering gnomes running around on any given server that could have tinkered us some rebreathers. We had one guild to rely on and that's it. How many people do you think would have waited around for us to farm 300,000 platinum and get all the Rebreathers we needed made? We'd still not have killed Phinny. Aashwinn is far from a cheater. She was an officer who was willing to sacrifice nights on end doing sub-combines and combine after combine to get the entire guild outfitted in Rebreathers so that we could conquer Kedge Keep, and that's how Omgmo and Biqq thanked her. They allowed a thread to call her a whore and a cheater. That's when I finally lost every ounce of respect I had for either of them.
Chriton came to us from the Progression server. He was a hardcore raider who was there in one of the top guilds. He knew how to beat Naggy and Vox quickly and efficiently. If we'd have kept trying to do it Omgmo's way we'd just have a record streak of corpse runs. Chriton was by far the best officer we ever had for conducting raids, and they slandered him too. Anyone who didn't agree with their visions or opinions, they slandered. No, they didn't make Chriton leave outright, but they made him inactive. He stopped playing the game because of the crap they pulled.
So here's the general breakdown. Omgmo and Biqq screwed everyone they had to in order to steal the bulk of our active members. At this point I really don't care anymore, you've all showed me what you stand for. You side with thieves and liars. Up until this point, have you seen a single thread to slander either of them? No, because I don't enrage in flame wars. I wasn't the one who made a whole website dedicated to flaming someone. I wasn't the one who was petty enough to post that website all over the official forums.
I never wanted the guild to split and become a team of jerks and a team of loyalists. I tried to negociate with Biqq several times, but he didn't want to hear any of it. He tried to feed me bullshit that he didn't ever try to recruit any of the members in my guild. He was just unaware that I had real life family members in the guild, that told me about the underhanded things he was doing. So for now, yes, Biqq gets to look like the bigger guy. But I know what a jerk he is, and I'm sure in time you all will too.
I can tell you this one last thing. Chriton and Aashwinn are the only two officers I ever had who were worth anything. There were a couple of others who I thought would have been bigger than they were, but they proved me wrong. My only regret as the founder of the guild was recruiting Biqq and Omgmo. I hope you all have fun living my dream.
