Jaret: Is a Monarchy where the Queen and the King share power. The capital is in the city of Korath. It is a big naval power with a small professional army. This nation is noted for its quick and fair justice.
Elgarth: is a nation built on trade and is ruled by trade and greed. The power is vested in the council of 12. The council is so named because there are 12 major merchant families. The capital is in the city of Felmir. Each county provides its own small standing army or personal guards to the families.
Magrath: Is a military state. There a five Marshals: North, South, East, West and Central, that rule this land. It is the smallest of the nations but it has the most powerful army. Magrat hires out its soldiers to other nations. Everyone must serve a stint in the army. It's capital is in the city of Krantor.
Zoirat: This nation is ruled by a tyrant King that is always looking for ways to expand his empire. The current King's family has been in power for only the last 150 years. Before then a very popular King ruled the nation. During the Civil war the King was killed in his Capital of Barat and the nation of Meredit broke from the nation to form its own.
Meredit: This nation is relatively young being only 150 years old. The nation is ruled the loyal subjects of King Feron. Due to the terrain it has defeated several times the larger armies of Zoirat when that nation tried to reconquer them. This nation is ruled by a popular elected person. The nobles of the nation elect the person. The nobles have a House of Lords where they have certain areas that they control directly and the "King" has certain areas that he controls directly. The "King" only serves for two years.
Hanelrath: The ruler of this nation is also the head of the church. There is only one religion allowed in this nation. Basically it is a theocracy. They will sometimes get the notion of launching a crusade to bring the true faith to the rest of the world. Their military orders are great, but they teach tatics only up to battalion level. Their armies are usually too wieldy and uncooperative with each other to pose a big threat. Its capital city is Bascilia.
Storveth: This is a true monarchy run nation. The King seats in power and directs want goes on. There have been unrest and fights but so far the ruling family has endured and kept their throne. They have done this by being more ruthless then their enemies. Capital city is Jonaeth Crimson Lands: This gets its name from all the souls that have lost their lives here. This land is broken up into petty kingdoms each one trying to conquer the others. There is virtually continuously warfare here. Because of the chaotic nature of the region is land has several large tribes of goblins, bugbears, hobgoblins, and others of their ilk. Broken Lands: This land was at one time connected to the mainland until a large earthquake broke them up into several large islands and smaller ones. Each island is ruled by whoever is the strongest and is home to pirates and their ilk. Slave trade is a main source of labor throughout the region. These islands have swamps to heavy forested areas. Draketh Woods: The Home of the Elves. They consider themselves the caretakers of the forest. If settlers move in and take care of the woods they are left alone, but if people abuse the woods they are meet with hostility until they leave. In the middle of the woods is supposedly a very beautiful and elegant city. No one really knows. Any armies or bands of men intent upon finding the city have not returned. Parts of these woods have an appearance of being evil. Galgrog Mountains: This is the home of several dwarven kingdoms. Each one rules certain parts. Each one has an above ground town that serves as a market town for their goods. The mountain is supposedly rich in minerals and precious metals. Barren Lands: It is rumored that this land was at one time a very fertile and wealthy nation until a large earthquake shattered the area. Some say that the earthquake was caused by two different magi orders in a great battle. The people of this region are nomadic herders with a distrust of magic and magi's. They are not friendly to visitors unless they know you already.
