Well she esescaped the mage, but she soon learned that she could fall in love without the curse. Thanotos was her dearest friend in all the world. She trusted him completely. She could always seperate sex from love, but not with him. She found herself falling deeply in love with him. Unfortunately, he did not love her in the same way. Depressed and heartbroken, and determined to end the curse once and for all, she took her dagger and stabbed herself in the heart, commiting suicide. Thanotos took her body to the Lake and submurged it. He disappeared soon after. Later that week, a very notrious Master of that world dove into the depths of the Lake, intent on bringing Velvet back to life. After her resurrection, she left the man and started sleeping with everyone she could find, trying to forget about Thanotos. That is when tragedy struck again. She invited a Vampire into her home, thinking he was a nobleman looking for a quick fuck. He brutally and hideously raped her, leaving her for dead. She lay in her bed for two days, bleeding and weak. Somehow she summoned the strength to rouse herself to make a journey. She swore that she could feel Thanotos somewhere in another land, far away. So through her haze of pain, she was able to rouse herself and fling herself through the portal, to another land.
