Character name: Triam Hoffcrippet
House: Waddletoe
Age: 11
Height: 4'6"
Weight: 70 lbs.
Hair color: Black
Eye color: Blue
Distinguishing marks: Triam has three dark blue birthmarks, the size of a sesame seed, in a line below his left earlobe.
Appearance: (general) Olive skinned, thin, a bit bookish. Has thick eye-glasses that constantly slide down the end of his nose. Always looks at his feet when he walks. His clothes don't quite fit right. People are always forgetting he is there, but he is growing fast and soon he'll be so tall, it will be impossible to ignore him.
Familiar: (First years may only have frogs, rats, owls, or cats.) Has a snowy owl named Dodger.
Personality: Loves to read and constantly has his nose in a book. Is slow to make friends, but very bright. Not so outgoing. He could prove to be a very powerful wizard, but doesn't have the confidence at this point. He knows a lot though. Doesn't really like quidditch, but could prove useful to a team in the future as he will eventually be very tall (at this rate), and can be handy with a broomstick.
History: The Hoffcrippet's are a very old, but rather obscure wizarding family. Every once in a while a Hoffcrippet comes along who does remarkable things, but this isn't very consistent, so the Hoffcrippet's recieve very little recognition as a family line. Triam's mother and father are a bit slouchy when it comes to magic. His father was quite a wizard in his youth, but his potential turned out to be just that: potential. His mother had an obscure fondness for a muggle pop group "The Beattles" which distracted her from learning much magic. Triam is an only child.
Other information I should know: (Include things like unusual magical abilities here.) Triam's skin can glow a bright bluish-white. It usually happens when he is intensely emotional, and he hasn't learned to control it. It first showed up when he was a kid (his ears would glow bright blue when he was embarrassed). It is bright enough to light a five foot area around him in the dark. Sometimes its just a hand or a toe or an ear, but sometimes it is his entire body.
He has quite good long distance eye sight, he is far sighted and only has glasses for reading (which he does all the time, so he wears his glasses all the time.) He could read the writing on a book from a hundred feet away, but without his glasses he couldn't read it right in front of his face.
