Storyline recap as of May 31st 2003
Tad and Brooke break away from the guests and the party and find their way to the park. Tad finds his voice, after losing Dixie, and declares his love for Brooke. Meanwhile, unbeknowest to Tad and Brooke, Dixie is very much alive and in the park with JR. Upon setting eyes on Dixie, Tad leaves Brooke in the dust and tries to rekindle his romance with Dixie. JR is mugged, sending Tad and Dixie with him to the hospital.
Brooke is picked up in the park by Adam, who shares a few drinks with her at the Valley Inn before receiving the phone call about JR. He and Brooke rush to the hospital.
Meanwhile, Leo and Greenlee leave Wildwind and return to the Loft where Greenlee discovers that she is pregnant. They make an appointment to see Dr. Clader at PVH.
Back at the hospital, Brooke is uneasy when she sees Tad and tries to avoid a confrontation. Tad however follows after Brooke to explain himself. As Brooke tries to break away, Tad pulls her into a passionate kiss. Shocked, Brooke goes along with Tad, to a secluded room where they make love. Their bliss doesn’t last very long. Mia walks into the room and catches them in bed together. She makes her way out of the room, bumping into Jake, who can tell that something is wrong. Mia eventually tells him what she saw. Jake is livid, making a scene when he throws both Brooke and Tad out of the hospital. Mia pleads with Jake not to tell Dixie, but he does tell her what happened. Devastated, Dixie runs out of the hospital. An upset Mia follows after her. They help eachother through the difficulty by going back to Dixie’s room and throwing a ‘man bash party’. Mia comes to the conclusion that she wants to put her wedding to Jake on hold, hoping that he will understand. That night, she and Jake decide that perhaps it is best to wait.
The next day, Greenlee and Leo go in for their appointment with Dr. Clader, where she learns she is having twins. They bump into Ryan and Gillian who have brought Jordan for a checkup.
Adam learns that Brooke slept with Tad and wonders what Mia was doing in the hospital room. He suggests to Jake that perhaps Tad and Mia are having an affair and that was the reason Mia didn’t want to get married. Dixie returns to the hospital, only to be met by Adam, who pulls her into the waiting room to tell her the bad news... JR has cancer. Dixie is distraught, but Adam assures her that he has all the best doctors on it.
Trey goes to Fusion to pick up some papers and Kendall gets a phone call from Mia, who’s car ran out of gas in Llanview. Kendall and Trey drive to Llanview to help. On the way, Trey admits to Kendall that he has feelings for Mia, but hasn’t acted on them because of Jake. Mia and Kendall decide that instead, they try to hook Trey up with Dixie. they go back to the Fusion office, where Trey gets a phone call that Simone is in jail again. They go off to see what they can do as Jake walks in.
Tad, after spending the night with Brooke, proposes to her and she accepts. They go ing shopping and she picks out the largest most elaborate ring. They head off to Tempo. While in her office, the door jams.
Greenlee and Leo stop by Fusion and Greenlee flips out when she finds out Simone is in jail again. She suffers from a type of panic attack and Leo rushes her to the hospital. On the way, he calls David. Greenlee starts to hallucinate and Leo panics. They learn that one of the babies is in a coma and only has a 20% chance of survival.
Trey and Kendall (along with Petey) go to the police station. Kendall decides that they can’t just leave Simone in jail, so Trey devises a plan to spring Simone. Trey assaults the prison guard, and he, Kendall, Simone and Petey get on a plane to the Bahamas. Half way there however, Kendall changes her mind. She decides that she can’t leave Pine Valley without seeing Ryan. They return to Pine Valley.
Adam goes with Dixie to pick out an apartment, and then they share a few drinks at the Valley Inn. Mia and Jake follow Liza to the Valley Inn, suspecting that something might happen. Liza sees Adam with Dixie and accuses him of having an affair. A fight ensues leaving Dixie with a black eye. Liza tells Adam that she has reason to be jealous. Adam goes after Liza and they decide to spend some time romancing in New York.
Ryan gets a phone call from Kendall, begging him to meet her at the boathouse to set their relationship to an end. But before it’s over, things get a little wild. Ryan and Kendall end up going for a swim and Kendall and Ryan kiss. Shortly thereafter, they ‘end’ their relationship and Ryan goes home to Gillian and Jordan.
Meanwhile, Tad and Brooke get rescued from the Tempo office by Edmund and they decide to meet Jamie to tell him about the impending nuptials. Jamie takes the news incredibly well. Tad and Brooke go back to Tad’s, where, now that Dixie has returned to Pine Valley, he finds difficulty in being there. He offers Brooke a drink, but gets carried away with the liquor himself over the guilt of losing Dixie again.
Jake and Mia set Dixie up with Trey, who really seem to be hitting it off. Jake and Mia talk in the car and decide that they want to get married right away. They get Jamie to agree to be their witness, and they call Jackson to perform the ceremony. But Mia’s matchmaking doesn’t stop there. After she and Jake stop in on Tad and witness him looking all disheveled, they decide that Tad and Dixie need to see eachother. Jake calls Tad and Mia calls Dixie to meet them at the boathouse. The plan goes into effect. At first, Dixie can’t stand the sight of Tad. He offers her back her necklace, which Dixie turns down, regarding it as just another piece of jewelry. Tad pleads for Dixie’s forgiveness, swearing to her that he wants to be with only her. After a long discussion, Dixie decides to give Tad another chance. He put the necklace on her.
Mia and Jake return to the boathouse to see that Jamie has interrupted Tad and Dixie. Jamie announces that Tad has proposed to Brooke. Dixie is shocked and rushes out of the boathouse. Tad follows after her. He manages once again to convince Dixie that she is the one he loves. It starts to snow as Tad and Dixie head back to Dixie’s room at the Valley Inn.
Jake and Mia take Jamie and head over to Jack Montgomery’s office and they are married. They then bear the snowstorm that is closing in, and manage to get Jamie down to the hospital to see JR and meet Brooke. Because of the storm however, they are stuck in the hospital. Jake takes Mia to his office, upset about the way that they must spend their first night as a married couple, stranded in the hospital. Mia explains to him that she would be happy as long as they were together. They make love.
Leo calls Ryan and Gillian and tells them about Greenlee being in the hospital. Gillian and Ryan brave the storm to see their friends, but now, they too are stranded in the hospital. Ryan and Gillian find a room for the evening and they make love.
After leaving the boathouse, Tad and Dixie go to the Valley Inn. Dixie introduces Tad to his daughter, Katie, The meeting is emotional. Katie falls asleep in Tad’s arms and after Dixie puts her down, Tad and Dixie spend a bit of quality time together before they too begin to make love. Dixie receives a phone call from JR, asking her to come to the hospital. Tad and Dixie pack up the baby and head to PVH.
Now, everyone is at the hospital. Dixie hands Tad the baby when she goes to talk to JR. Tad bumps into Brooke again, who isn’t happy that Dixie is back. Tad’s cadish lifestyle get s the best of him and he sleeps with Brooke again.
Dixie bumps into Edmund, who is at the hospital working on a story. They share breakfast and some laughs before Edmund suggests that they leave the hospital and go back to Wild wind. Dixie agrees.
After a night of lovemaking, tad goes back to Brooke’s. He’s overwrought with guilt of having betrayed Dixie’s trust again and tells Brooke that their relationship has to end.
Edmund talks Dixie into going riding, but horseback riding is the furthest thing from both their minds. Dixie and Edmund make love in the stables. After picking hay out of their hair, they move inside, where Dixie removes her necklace, telling Edmund that it was a gift from Tad. Edmund can clearly see that if he were to start a relationship with Dixie that it would end up going nowhere because Dixie is still obviously in love with Tad. Edmund puts a call into Tad and tells him to come to Wildwind. Brooke decides to go along to speak with Edmund.
Meanwhile, Kendall and Trey devise a plan to get Ryan and Gillian. Trey breaks into David’s cabin and steaks a vial of Libidizone. He then invites Gillian to lunch and drugs her. Kendall walks into the Valley Inn with Ryan and he sees Gillian all over Trey. Ryan is shocked and devastated, leaving the Valley Inn. Trey decides to bring Gillian back to his apartment, but they don’t get that far right away. Trey and Gillian go at it in the car.
Tad and Brooke arrive at Wildwind and Tad goes to plead with Dixie yet again. Dixie is upset with Tad, understandably, and attacks him with the fact that she slept with Edmund. Tad is hurt, begging Dixie to give him one more chance. She is reluctant at first but Dixie still realizes that a life with Tad is what she was destined for. Tad and Dixie leave Wildwind together.
Back at Trey’s apartment, he begins to panic when Gillian has a reaction to the Libidizone. He calls David and admits that it was him who broke into the cabin. He tells David that he slept with Gillian. David tells Trey that Gillian is going to be fine.
Tad and Dixie go home and they make love on the sofa. Tad proposes to Dixie and she accepts.
David has to rush Anna to the hospital after she seems to be suffering from food poisoning. the symptoms are severe at points similar to those that Greenlee had displayed a few days earlier.
Edmund returns home to Wildwind after picking up Sam and Maddie from school to find Brooke waiting for him. Maddie is excited to see her, calling Brooke ‘Mommy’ and asking Edmund if she could stay. Edmund gets upset at Maddie and Brooke counters by telling Edmund not to yell at his daughter. Edmund tells Brooke not to tell him how to raise his kids. Brooke leaves Wildwind, and shortly thereafter, Maria arrives.
Gillian and Ryan figure out that Trey drugged and raped her. Gillian moves out for a while. She goes to see Chris and tells him about what happened Chris promises her that Trey and Kendall will go to jail.
Brooke goes to drown her sorrows at the Valley Inn and runs into Simone. She opens up to Simone about everything she went through with Tad. Simone can see how hurt and in love Brooke is, so she comes up with a plan. They would go back to Brooke’s and stage a break in. Tad wouldn’t be able to let Brooke face and ordeal like that alone. Brooke and Simone head to the house. While Simone trashes the place, Brooke calls Adam at Chandler Enterprises and gets him to agree to help by distracting Dixie. Brooke then calls Tad and Adam calls Dixie.
Tad and Dixie get suspicious and decide to spring a plan of their own. Tad calls Liza to stop in on Adam. Dixie calls Jackson to fill him in, and then they head out.
Dixie heads off to Chandler Enterprises to meet Adam . She wasn’t there very long before Liza arrived. Dixie left the office and Adam managed to convince Liza that he cares for her.
Tad arrives at Brooke’s and looks around. He promises to ‘get to the bottom of what happened.’ Dixie arrives and they ‘decide’ that calling Jackson is the best course of action. Jack arrives and begins to look around. He finds an acrylic nail, coming to the conclusion that Brooke didn’t work alone. They continue the plan as Jackson places Tad under arrest for the break in, hoping to get Brooke to confess. It doesn’t work. Brooke asks to speak with Tad privately. She takes him into the kitchen, Tad ‘begs’ Brooke not to let him take the fall for this. She doesn’t say a word. She brings up their relationship and kisses Tad. Tad pulls back, rejecting her advances. The conversation becomes heated and Tad threatens to take Brooke to court over custody of Jamie. The three of them leave Brooke’s.
Tad and Dixie go home and spend the rest of the evening together. They make love.
Jackson gets a phone call from Erica, who tells him that she saw Broke at the Valley Inn with Simone. Jackson goes over to Myrtle’s Boarding House to speak to Simone, who nervously admits to Jackson, Brooke’s plan. In exchange for a deal, Simone agrees to help Jack get Erica to leave Chris.
Adam arrives at Brooke’s and suggests that she let Simone take the fall for the ‘break in’. He promises to help her keep Jamie from Tad, even if it means making Tad look like an unfit parent. Brooke and Adam share a kiss and decide to rekindle their affair. They fly to New York and check into a hotel, where Adam bumps into an old friend of his and Liza’s. Little does Adam know however that Preston goes to Pine Valley and tells Liza about seeing Adam in New York with Brooke. Brooke and Adam make love.
It is now morning. Tad and Dixie wake up together and Dixie tells Tad that she never filed the divorce papers and that they are still married. Tad makes Dixie promise that she will go through with the ceremony anyway.
Colby calls Adam and tells him to come home because Liza’s in the hospital. Adam grows concerned and he and Brooke start back to Pine Valley.
Liza however is well and talking to Mia about moving out of the mansion with Colby because of Adam’s cheating ways. Colby blacks out and tumbles down the stairs, breaking her arm. She is unconscious as Mia calls the hospital.
David finally allows Anna to leave the hospital. They go for a walk to the Lake, when Anna starts to go into labor. David gets Anna back to the cabin and he delivers his daughter, Faith. They return to the hospital and he gets the baby to the nursery. Anna is worried about the baby and sends David to check on her.
Jackson and Simone meet for the ‘date’ at the Valley Inn. Erica sits at a table near them. Reggie walks in, and Jackson is hopeful that Reggie will be helpful.
Jamie meets Joni at the library. They study for their Chemistry test and Jamie convinces Joni to have a little fun over the weekend. He tells her that he wants to take her to the beach. First thought Jamie needs to gain the trust of Joni’s parents. Joni and Jamie go to the movies.
Maria and Edmund share a meal at the Valley Inn. Maria surprises Edmund with the revelation that she remembers everything.
Gillian returns home to Ryan after spending some time reflecting. She gives him the news that she is pregnant. Ryan is concerned about the baby’s paternity. But Gillian says that she ‘knows’ the baby is his.
Brooke calls Tad from the plane in New York, telling him that she wants to meet him. Tad grows suspicious when Brooke is unable to meet him right away. He brings up Adam Chandler and judging from Brooke’s response, he figures out that she and Adam are having an affair.
