Once that’s done, you’ll end up in a small cottage with Adele and your main protagonist, Jack Russell. It’s a big day for Jack: the day he begins his journey to becoming a great knight.

------------------------------------
Radiata Castle – The Knight Trials
Suggested Level: 1
------------------------------------
You go to the castle and now you have to participate in the knight trials. Take a good luck at all these shmucks around in the waiting with you. In a while, you’ll be able to recruit all of them to fight under you, but until then, you’re just a lowly commoner trying to become a knight.
You’ll be called and you have to fight a young girl named Ridley. Not that it matters, but here are Ridley’s stats according to the Analysis Ball:
Ridley Silverlake
Lv. 4
HP: ?????/?????
Element: None
Special: None
Strategy: Just stand back and let her beat your ass to nothing. You can’t beat her. Don’t waste any items on this fight. Most likely, she'll just do her special attack move, "Wild Pitch," which will completely KO you.
After the fight is over, Ridley will have won and you, obviously, will have lost. Jack is, understandably, upset. Not to mention unconscious.
At the Coliseum, the resuls will be announced. Of course Ridley is in. And, surprise, surprise, Jack is in as well.
You meet Ganz, who will be your captain. He'll tell you to go to the basement and get changed. Of course, you've got the crappiest room ever made. But that's all right. You get to meet Leonard, your "room leader." Oh, and by the way, the steward is called Al. He's a bitch.
You obtain the items Knight's Charter and Trainee Wear.

Radiata Castle - Free Roam
Suggested Level: 1
------------------------------
Items Found:
Analysis Ball x 1
$10
Cure Drop x 2
Now you are free to run around. If you kick your bunk, Leonard's bunk and the desk, respectively, you can acquire an analysis ball, $10, and a cure drop. The guard right outside will keep dropping $1 everytime you kick him, so do as you will with that. In the next room to your right, you can find a cure drop.
Recruitable Humans
Anastasia
Default Level:30
Equipped Skill:
Luck Plus
Equipped Attacks:
Divine Statue - Throws a divine statue for a sinful attack. She is not a faithful believer.
Ice Blizzard SE - A celestial miracle unleashes a blizzard the freezes the foe. Attribute: Water.
Light of Life SE - A prayer that heals party members. The gods treat everyone equally.
Fog of Chaos - A prayer unleashes a creepy fog that wraps around and confuses the foe.
How to Acquire:
Go and see Anastasia in the cathedral and she'll tell you about a missing key she lost. Talk to Lulu, the woman who has huge lips just like Anastasia, and she'll send you to find Zeranium. He's usually around the seedy side of town. He'll tell you to go to Faid's General Store and Faid will sell you the missing key for 10,000. Take the key back to Anastasia and you've got yourself a new friend.
My Notes:
Anastasia is a good ally because she comes at such a high level and has a multitude of attacks unlike some other people. However, she seems to never listen to what you tell her to do and so never heals your party when you need it.
Clive
Default Level: Varies
Equipped Skill: Increases Evasion
Equipped Attacks:
Poison Gas - Throws poison powder.
Recovery Ray SE - A prayer to the gods unleashes a miracle that slightly heals party members.
How to Acquire:
Clive will automatically join your party at the beginning of the game and then will automatically join your Friend's List once you can make them.
My Notes:
Clive is a good guy. A little slow and, sad to say, ineffectual since his main attack consists of throwing poison bombs. But he is dependable as a healer.
Alicia
Default Level: 32
Equipped Skills: Evasion Plus
Equipped Attacks:
Ray Cutter - A graceful slice attack. Does a lot more damage than one would think.
Rose Flash - A big, forward slice. The arch made by the sword is eerie, yet beautiful.
High Sky Descend - An instantaneous jump followed by a plunge of the sword.
How to Acquire:
After fighting Lily and talking to Elwen after having fought Lily, speak to Alicia when she's down in the chapel. Alicia will talk some strange things, and then fight you. Defeat her and Alicia will join your party.
My Notes:
Alicia is a good party member. She is quick and agile and evasive; however, in my history, she's always been the one who dies or goes critical most often. She needs a good healer behind her for use.
Caesar
Default Level: 36
Equipped Skill: Complete Defense
Equipped Attacks:
Upward Slash - An unusual-looking slash attack. Said to be a foreign fencing style.
Demon Buster - A consecutive series of slashes. Many have died from this attack.
How to Acquire:
First you must enlist Aldo and Gareth, who are in Caesar's squad. Then go and speak to him at night in Vancoor Square, usually around nine o' clock is good. He'll join you, no questions asked.
My Notes:
Cosmo
Default Level:
Equipped Skill: Nine Lives
Equipped Attacks:
Left Jab - A light left jab.
Right Straight - A right straight to finish off the jab combo.
Twisting Kick - A spin followed by a thrusting kick. A fairly powerful attack.
How to Acquire:
Simply speak to him in his room at the cathedral when he is doing his fighting practicing. He'll join quickly.
My Notes:
Fairly good fighter.
Valkyrie
Default Level: 77
Equipped Skill: Absorb HP
Equipped Attacks:
Bolt Slash - A single crossing slash. Breaks parry.
Instant Slide - A sliding attack that knocks the foe off their feet.
Vertical Raid - A quick slice that hits consecutively.
Spread Shot - An arrow of light pierces the foe. It sometimes causes afflictions.
How to Acquire:
Make it down to the Corridor of Distortion in the post-game Dungeon and beat her. Watch out for her volty attack, Nibelung Valesti, and you should be fine. She'll join you after you beat her.
My Notes: Valkyrie is amazing. She comes at level 77 (not bad!) and she has near 9999 HP by the time you finish leveling her up. She is strong and fast and has one of the best volty attacks in the game: Nibelung Valesti. Tank her out with stat increasers and you won't have to worry as much for the final battles in the post-game dungeons.
