Sascha Amelia Novikov |

| Much
of Sascha's past is little more than a blur to her, though there are main
aspects that she remembers rather vividly. She was born someplace in Russia,
as her parents had told her, and they did a great deal of travelling throughout
the five years of her life that led up to her contravercial abandonment.
Her family was rather poor and owned little more than what they could carry,
but fate finally played them a good hand on Sascha's fifth birthday; however,
Sascha was left out. A job opportunity found its way to her father, Mikel,
and it would be enough for him to support his family. Sascha, at so young
an age, wasn't sure as to what really happened next, but when they were
supposed to leave the little home they had made for themselves at a dock,
she found herself alone, and her family already gone.
Plagued by internal conflicts and starvation, the young child stayed where she was in hopes that her family would come back to her: her mother and father and older brother. Sometimes she even hoped her sister, whom had died at an early age from E coli poisoning, would return to her to. She began developing other cases of mental illnesses, and how she survived she doesn't really know. She only remembers how she kept hiding from people and stealing food and other necessities from dumpsters. When she grew to a teenager, she finally managed to get herself hired as a newspaper girl, and though the pay was low, it was enough to help her buy real food and some decent clothes. How long she worked there she didn't know, but after overhearing travel news from sailors, she managed to stow away on a train and made her way to France. By then, Sascha had no clue of how old she was, and she remembered little of her family or her past. She had developed a small case of light schizophrenia, and hints of multiple personalities. It was in France where panic struck her, followed by a severe case of depression due to her loss of self, and she went through months of cutting herself, slitting her wrists but never deep enough to kill. When opportunity arose to leave the continent and head to Lycosia, Sascha pulled herself together with a light of hope and hid inside a man's suitcase to get inside the ship that would take her to Lycosia. Hiding out in the cargo hold, Sascha slept most of the way. But one night she was awoken by sharp prickling on her skin, an odd chattering, and the strange feeling of being crawled upon by heavy little animals. She opened her eyes to find her body littered with dirty, hungry rats, most of their beady eyes fixed right on hers as they chattered maliciously at her. Surpressing a scream to avoid being caught, she rolled, crushing several of the rats beneath her belly and chest, soaking her front with their blood, and then scrambled up and spent the rest of the voyage hiding in a car. How many years Sascha spent in Lycosia after her arrival she estimated to be about 3, perhaps 4. Although she had discovered the year it didn't help her understand how old she was, since she didn't know her birth year. The only attributes left of her identity was her own name and her native language: Russian; she couldn't even recall the names of her family members. It was a while before she got herself on her feet; she gained a job, slept in a shelter, and earned money until she could afford to rent a small apartment. After that, though struggling with her mental illnesses, she gained some status, a better paying job, and soon was able to buy herself a small house. She had finally settled down, though she didn't yet own a car, and it was when her life was straightening out that it suddenly twisted and turned around on her.. A simple visit to the park in Attone City brought fate's ironic humor about, and Sascha was embraced by a 5th Generation Malkavian vampire, Lucianus Vetes. The insanity that had been growing in her throughout the years was given a sudden boost from the Clan she had been "born" into, and Sascha's mental stability declined heavily, though she managed to hold control of herself well the times she was at all stable. Surprisingly, she held a strong appreciation and even love for her Sire, despite the fact that parts of her viewed him as a ruiner--the more insane personalities she harbored, among the many that existed within her. And now she only struggles to belong, learn, and be a pride of her Sire's. |
