Born in the year 1984, Eve Morrow showed an amazingly hightened sense of awareness that few babies had. It was a trait that stuck with her as she grew, and with her own maturity it matured into a feeling of unrest, frustration, and confusion. Since she was a little girl she always felt that something wasn't right about the world. Things just seemed to fit together too perfectly for her comfort, and the constant plagues of odd dreams that she seldom could differentiate between real life made her even more weary of the world. She worked regularly as a martial arts instructor and photographer for a magazine in New York City, but on the side wrote programs and cracked codes for the hacker community Eve herself had developed into a respectable hacker at even her young age, and continuously checked up on the searches and manhunts ran by the FBI, CIA, and NSA for hackers. Some of the names appearing in papers and on her screen when she searched she knew; aliases of those who had contacted her previously with a message about the one thing that had driven her curiousity and sanity for a few years now--the Matrix. What was it? Who was involved? Where was it located?

These achievements had been made when she was merely 16, and two weeks before her 17th birthday she received a request from one of her contactors for a program she had written, and when she arrived at the old train station, she found it wasn't the program the person wanted, but her. Unfortunately, no one can be told exactly what the Matrix is.. Her only choice was to see it for herself. With hardly a second thought...she took the red pill.

Since then, known simply by her hacker alias Déjà, Eve has fought in the Resistance as a combater and hacker, serving along side many popular and widely respected rebels. When she turned 19 a rebel ship, Hallusynate, was given to her for her excellent service and fierce determination in fighting for the cause, but since her skills lied more in combat and hacking, not so much in flight, she gave the piloting control over to a Zion-born friend, and took the title of 1st in Command instead. However, her and her crew only spend as much time on the ship as necessary, deploying from Zion only when needed. The rest of the time she works with the captain of the ship Nebudchenezzar, spending much of her time in the Matrix to help find minds able to be freed...

Déjà is an incredibly determined and incredibly fierce Rebel. She hates the A.I., the Agents, and the Matrix with unrequited passion. Her devotion to the Resistance and rage toward the machines sometimes gets her into trouble by the Council and by her mentor, Morpheus. But if there is anyone she tries hardest to please, it's both Neo and Trinity, who unlike any others have become family to her, even above Morpheus who is like a father to them all. But since she is so young of an age everyone, especially Neo, Trinity, and Morpheus, are all protective of her and try not to give her too many opportunities to get hurt, but this often causes rebellion in her own cause, in an effort to prove herself to them all.
