innocence could be defined in one human being, it would be defined in
Alhanatey Salian, who's is nearly incapable of doing any wrong. For a
long time she lived on an island owned by her parents and shared with
two other Houses aside House Salian. However, much discomfort was caused
to her by courtiers and her prodding father. Being well over the age where
marriage should be taken up and still single, her father pressed and pressed
for her to find someone. Being the independent and quick-witted type that
she is, she continuously persuaded her father to give her more time. Finally,
she grew weary of the effort and weary of the fact that her parents were
so deeply involved in politics and their wealth that she left. They were
lost to her, so there was no point in sticking around. So she left and
traveled to another land in hopes that she could settle down someplace
nice and make new friends. ~~In the midst of flame and fury he nearly took her life, but in the last moment the realization of his love for her drove him to strike a bargain. If she would stay with him, be his love for a year, then she could be totally free of him. He would never hurt her, but instead love her every day. The deal seemed more favourable than the flames before her, and she accepted. Her broken mind was bent and twisted for the few days she spent at Shan's manor, and she unknowingly began to develop feelings for him. Things went awry and he left, and Ahlana returned to her home. Only days later, however, the Mordin returned to her in white, no longer the dark creature he had been, but like an angel. Her developing feelings seemed irrational, but in a night's embrace of love, she knew she could not live without him--without Darrien Lezalia, whom Shan once was and once more became.
