Mystra - Goddess of Spirit
Lawful Neutral
Patron Goddess of Wind, Peace, Water.

Mystra has always stood as a good of peace, the ender of wars. When the Great War between Sycris and Zintris broke out, she was the only one to try and stop the fighting. It was not uncommon to see her pleading to either side, begging for the madness to end. War caused her pain, and the death of people caused her pain. She lives for peace, and when it's disturbed, so is she. Mystra's life has always been one of torment. Since life revolves around constant war, Mystra has never fully enjoyed living. When Kossuth started the "Unthinkable Acts" Mystra snapped. In a rage she confronted him, screaming about death and disappearances, snapping of earth, the apocalypse, and so on. Numerous scholars agree this is the act that stopped Kossuth on his power hungry path. As it is, no one is sure if Mystra fully recovered from the incident, many believe her to have gone insane, although no proof of this has been found yet. As a whole, Mystra's dreary personality tends towards her church being a very solemn, sorrowful congregation. Mandatory praying for the dead has always been pushed. The need for peace is also a high constant of their religion. Finally, resentment for the church of Kossuth has been around for ages, since they blame him for Mystra's madness, or at least, supposed madness. Only the top of the hierarchy of the Church of Mystra knows the truth...

"Protect us Great Lady. Protect us from the wilds of this earth. Protect us from the evils, which haunt our days. Push back the flame, which threatens our very lives and souls. We put out trust in you, oh sacred lady."
