Requirements and OCC/RCC Rules

Things to keep in mind when creating your character:

  1. Remember that Ed is the GM. Ed wishes he didn't have to put this in but players keept argueing with him about his campaign; about the rules, about their characters, about physics, and try to sneek things in that he told them not to have in their characters. If you are the kind of person who is going to do that (and he's not saying you are, but I've had players curse me out over stupid little things) then don't waste my time or yours.
  2. You want to look human, either naturaly or through shape shifting, you need to be able to pass as human under a close inspection, so no slobering beast men or blue mutants, unless you have a way to fully disguise these traits in case they are arrested. (were-creatures, dragons, demons, super heroes are all acceptable, so long as they can assume a human form)
  3. The PCs are the good guys, well more or less, but they try to be
  4. The PCs are a magically strong party, this dose not mean Ed is telling you not to be a mage, he's just suggesting that you keep this in mind, there are several likely weakness in a party that becomes over specialized; as he finds them he WILL exploit them.
  5. The campaign is at the moment based in north america, in the new york, new jersey area.
  6. The year is only 2018, after dark day (if you are familiar with nightbane), so technology isn't that much more advanced than it is in the real world.
  7. Almost any character from almost any game is acceptable Starting levels are 1-5. If the character comes from an M.D.C. game they will need to be converted to SDC, and possibly require a bit of a history change to fit into the setting but most OCCs will fit fine. OCCs that will not fit; robot/PA pilots, full conversion Borgs, Juicers (note on juicers) , robots/androids, any OCC that relies on advanced technology, or any OCC/RCC that cannot pass as human. Questionable OCCs that can be made to fit: (there are many these are the biggies) partial converion borg (only posible if he is a victim of a cybermage, parts will be largely magical rather than technological, he will have insanities), crazy (also a victim of a cybermage, will be REALLY screwed up), superheroes (loose the costume and the name and most will fit fine), true atlanteans (this is a mess i'd prefer to avoid, they can fit but it will take a lot of ovehauling in the character history), TMNT style mutants (only if they appear either fully human or fully animal), anything from paladium fantacy (will require a major history overhaul, but can be made to fit, mages and psychics require the least work), there are manny other OOCs that can be made to fit with major or minor effort but those are the largest pains that Ed said could think of right now.
  8. ABSOLUTELY nothing ultra-hightech, remember the year is only 2018, so nothing in your equipment or character that dose not exist in the real world today without asking Ed first.
  9. No aliens, sorry thay don't fit in his campaign.
  10. No creatures from another dimension. The game takes place in an isolated universe, there are no rifts for other creatures to fall through, so everything must be native to this universe. You can still pick O.C.C.s/R.C.C.S from other games but you may need to change their history a bit.
  11. Notes on Multiple OCC's-
  12. Yes you can use home brewed characters, weapons and equipment, however we will need to discuss any home brew items or characters before he can let them in.
  13. He would like to have a history of your character so that Ed can arrange for it to agree with the lay of the land in the campaign, this is my campaign it is not whatever campaign your character originally came from so histories, governments and powerful beings may differ greatly.
  14. He wants a COMPLETE character sheet including ALL of the character’s attributes, bonuses, and abilities. He wants a COMPLETE list of all spells and psionic powers and everything else. He only wants to know ALL of the equipment the character has including stats for any vehicles they possess, and any modifications made to them. IF IT IS NOT ON THE CHARACTER SHEET YOU SEND ME YOU CANNOT DO IT.
  15. DO NOT try to sneak things past him. If you don’t tell him about it or include it in your character sheet your character cannot do it. He hates people trying to sneak things into a campaign, he's usually more than willing to let you have it (or let you acquire it) if you ask, but he won’t let you have it if you try to slip it past me.
