About ElfClash: The Realm of Lanai

The World

And the Realm wept…
…Lanai was dying. The Gold Elves swept the lands, killing and taking hostage all which was not of their kind. First to go were the halflings, tortured and maimed, left half-living in the fields of Millyno, so that the Myrrc-birds would have a more entertaining feast.
The dwarves, sensing danger long before it ever came to them, barricaded themselves in the depths of the mountains, where none, not even the Gilden armies, could touch them. Those humans who did not have the sense to leave when danger approached were slaughtered or forced to go into hiding. But these attacks were only the beginning…

…For the Clans of Elves…
…attacked relentlessly against the Gold Elves, realizing too late that the Gilden armies had been plotting their demise. The Four Clans – the Celestial Elves of Four Point, the Wylde Elves of the forests, the Dark Elves of the plains, and the Skie Elves of the Goldenring Mountains – could not work as one. The Resistance Order, built to unite the Four Clans against the Gilden armies, rose up from the midst of war, only to be hated and slaughtered on both sides.

As their world is devoured…
…the Four Clans, overcome by the sheer force and numbers of the Gilden armies, are taken.
The Dark Elves, the easiest to control, were forced into the pits of Sur-Lanai. In the deep underground plains, they lost all will to live, for under the earth, where no sun could touch them, was no fitting place for the simple farmers.
The Wylde Elves fled into their forests, which were undesirable to the Gilden King, N’ra. Under orders to stay within the limits of the woods, the Clan escaped much persecution.
The Skie Elves fled to their mountaintops, trusting that the Gilden armies would not dare to attempt an attack in the treacherous cliffs of the Goldenring.
The Celestial Elves, having strong magic and weak bodies, were slaughtered mercilessly by the Gold Elves. The Gold Elves, having no magic of their own, feared and distrusted the art, preferring that all magic users were slain outright. Those Celestial Elves that managed to escape fled the land, leaving not hint as to where they went. And as the years passed without word, their memories slipped from the minds of the Clans.
And the Clans lived on. Under the strict rule of N’ra and then, after his demise, his son, G’ramanal, the Clans began to lose hope that they should ever again be free…

…Hope is destroyed…
…yet, hope is not quite forgotten… Rumors of a new Resistance Order are heard through the land. Talk of preparations for another ElfClash war reaches the ears of the Clans.
However, the rumors also reach the enemy…

…And the drums of war still beat…
…the Gilden armies make preparations for another war. Too long have they been idle in their quest to rule the land. Armies are bred, hostages are taken, and the destruction of the Clans is inevitable…

…In the Realm of Lanai…
…the Clans fight for very survival against an enemy that is ever stronger…
…dangers lurk in every corner of the land, as monsters are bred and released by the Gilden armies to aid in the destruction of the Clans…
…and the enemy presses ever closer to its goal – domination of Lanai.
