Lady Cassie. A woman of honor and of the blade, born far from Cain, deep within the lands of Ireland, war raging strong and viciously. Cassie learned early in life that a man's honor depended on his blade and his respect upon the words he spoke. Cassie was trained from childhood the use of the sword and battle. Her father, a knight himself, swore that each of his children would be able to defend themselves before the age of adulthood. To Cassie this was an honor.

Youngest of 5 children, Cassie never knew her mother, for she had died giving birth to the girl. Her 2 brothers and 2 sisters trained daily together with their father. Their skill awarded them treasures when their father could afford so. However, her father was a strict man. He forbade the girls the nights to town as he allowed the boys. He felt it his duty to guard them well and to do his best to teach them the side of being proper, yet bold when needed. Cassie and her sisters grew to be close. They often confided everything in each other, for living in a house with 3 men wasn't always as easy as one would think.

At the age of 18, Cassie's family faced the darkest times of their life. A battle called her brothers and her father off. Her and her sisters did the best they could. Many months passed and word came back that their father and bothers were dead. None of it was ever confirmed. One night a raid upon their home separated Cassie and her sisters as they fled to save themselves from the brutal knights. Cassie travelled for months, village to village seeking them but to no avail.

She travelled to a land called Cain. There she met Victory Night. This man was the Master Knight of Cain and served his Queen of the family named Vampires of Cain. He aired a aura of himself as being well to guard and somewhat of a challenge to Cassie. Feeling her pride swell within her, she asked for a ranking within the knighthood. He sparred her for the rank. The battle was a long one as they both were truly put to the test. However, when it was over, Cassie was tired and in deep admiration for the knight. He granted her the ranking of Knight 3rd Class. This came to haunt her, her skills deserving of her rank still brought her fellow men to feel that a woman was uncapable of such standing. Lady Cassie, being stubborn set out to prove her worth to her fellow knights.

Months passed and Lady Cassie found herself having a fondness for the Master Knight of Cain, yet knew his heart was saved for yet another. She focused on her knighthood, many falling at the final blow of her blade. The Dark Colliseum splattered with their blood. Then, one fateful day, a man came seeking her. His contract upon her head worried her but with honor and pride she walked into the Dark Colliseum, carrying the sword her superior awarded her for her skill. The battle was fought. Cassie fell to her death, her soul entering the blade. Victory Night obtained the sword, being he and Cassie were the only one's which could touch the sword unsheathed. He hid the sword and took her body, placing her within a glass coffin, swearing when the day was right, Cassie once more would stand amongst the numbers, serving her queen once more.

Years passed. Victory Night took to journey in Cassie's death, leaving shortly after she fell. Upon his return to Cain he set out for her sword. Night Grifter, his son and StarJayde of Vampires of Cain found the weapon. It was returned to him shortly after a confrontation between StarJayde and Victory. He then sought out a Necromancer and took her to his home. He, and many others stood watch as the Necromancer once more breathed life into Cassie.

Cassie came back to Cain to see a new land and a new way of life. She tried desparately to adjust to this new way as hard as she could. It was bearing on her though, few were left that she remembered and those that remembered, seemed different to her. Perhaps it was she that had changed. The only savior Cassie had was Victory Night. A love that sparked within her began grow between the two. She moved into his home shortly after being brought back from the dead. Victory watched over her, helped her to try and adjust.

It was the constant statements from others concerning how she gained her ranking within the knighthood that bothered her the most. She knew she had more than proven herself in the past. She knew that she was truly a knight of honor and respect, however, it didn't change the taint that seemed to have been left upon the knighthood with her in the ranks her heart belonging to her superior. It was then she felt a choice had to be made.

After long thoughts late at night as she watched Victory sleep peacefully within his bed, she came to a decision. By this time Victory Night and Cassie had wed. She wasn't going to give up her husband for senseless people who had no dignity. Early in the morn, she rose, putting on her armor and tags once more. As she picked up her sword, her eyes began to glisten. As long as she stood in the ranks of the knighthood of vC she stood proud and for the first time in her life she felt a shame come to her which betrayed her heart more than anything she knew. Once at her post she waited. Upon Victory's entrance she went to him, removing her knighthood tag. He said not a word, he knew it bothered her. He knew the struggle she fought inwardly and with those of society. His heart never once changed in her decision.

Once leaving the knighthood, Cassie began learning the ways of healing. Her heart was lifted of the burden she carried. She cared not for the whispers that came upon her ear of her choice. It was the day of the death of Victory Night all changed. Cassie's world was shattered, her faith trembled as she lifted Victory's body onto her horse. She took his sword, which held his soul and rode off, leaving Cain as far behind as she could.

Many towns she crossed and many people did she meet. It was in an inn three clicks away from Cain she heard of a land that would bring Victory back. He was her life, all that mattered to her. She quickly rode out, not hesitating even for a moment or stopping for rest. She knew time was against her. It was there she found Sacred Gates and Athena, Goddess of the Gates. She bargained for Victory's life to be returned to him. A bargain she swore she would keep until the day her last breath escaped from her lips.

Athena took the soul and placed it back into Victory's body, giving him life within the Gates. From that day on, Lady Cassie remains within the Gates. A promise she gave and a promise she'll die keeping.
