Kaen cursed under her breath as another person came. To make things worse, she was wearing a ball gown. "She's a freakin prep!" She thought. "I'm not dealing with this!" she cried and turned to run off.
Once again, the fox bit her leg.
"OW!" she yelled. "Leave me alone you stupid mutt!"
Kasai sweatdropped. "Haven't we had the conversation before? I'm NOT a dog." he bit into her leg harder. "Kaen, you have to stay here. You have no choice. If you leave, Savoya will be destroyed and chances are, you'll be killed."
"I'll take death!" she yelled, still trying to run away but her bloody leg and the fire-fox's grip wouldn't allow it.
"Fine. I'll stay. For now," she said reluctantly. She mumbled a series of curses under her breath that would have shocked a sailor. "So can you please heal my leg now?" she asked.
"If you promise not to run away."
The girl nodded, her eyes full of fury, showing her companion that her spirit had not been broken.
"Fire Tears," he told her softly. Little flames dropped from Kasai's eyes onto her leg.
Kaen winced and then the pain was gone.
Kaylee couldn't help but agree with Kaen. She would rather be anywhere but here. She sighed. This was going to be a long trip.
She scanned the new girl. She was dressed in a fancy dress and her hair was done neatly and elegantly. She seemed the complete opposite of herself; for one thing, she wasn't wearing any black and her make up was obviously done for a fancy party unlike her dark eyes and red lips. Another thing was that she seemed happy and cheerful; two emotions that Kaylee herself never felt. She sighed again and reluctantly went over to her. "I'm Kaylee," she told her, unsmiling. Her manor screamed sorrow and independence, and odd combo, clearly telling the other girl that they would not, could not, be friends.
The raven flew gracefully over to her and landed on her shoulder. "I am Kiutsu."
Kasai nudged Kaen in the back. "Introduce yourself," he commanded.
Kaen glared at him and walked over, mimicking Kaylee's stance and reflecting her independence but adding her own anger and pride.
"Kaen," she told the new girl. "And Stay away from me. I don't work well with people like yourself." She turned and walked away, sitting on a log at the edge of the clearing.
Kasai sweatdropped. "You'll have to excuse her," he apologized. "I am Kasai."
Kaen continued glaring at them as she took a lighter out of her and casually flicked the lid open then closed it. Open and close. Open and Close. She looked up at the new girl. She saw her backing away.
"Not a Pyro, eh?" Kaen asked, smirking. "Then stay clear of me. Kaen means fire." she smirked again and continued flicking the lighter open.
Daisy was feeling a little better even though her stomach was still turning. She rested her head on her knees and groaned. She glanced at her device and saw that teal dot was there.
Mayoke must have seen the dot.
"C'mon, Daisy, lets go meet them." said Mayoke, making ready as to leave.
"Nah, i don't wanna go." said daisy, looking at Mayoke, with tired eyes.
"But, you gotta..." said Mayoke, making a move to get her up.
"Fine, but not for to long." said Daisy, heaving herself up.
When they got to the teal dot, the girl was laying on the ground. She could tell from the tear stained cheeks and rings around her eyes that she was sad, trying to cover it up. Daisy was the type of person that didn't like people if they were covering something up. She thought that until this girl showed her true face, they were going to be but mere acquaintances.
"Hey!!!" darting towards the ground, the Pegasus swiftly touched the earth with an elegant flutter of wings. "Hi," said Angel to the new girl, who looked like she was about to throw up. "I'm Angel, and I was just sent here and...yeah. I don't know where I am or what I'm doing."
"I thought we'd been over that," said her companion impatiently, tossing back her mane, which was whiter than milk.
Daisy turned around, to see if anyone was following, and saw the girl in the ball gown talking to the place that she had just been in.
"Wow, i think that she got the wind swept out of her" she thought to herself.
She looked back down to the girl. Daisy sat down 10 feet away, not wanting the girl to notice her when she got up.
"Man, this is going to be a long journey." thought Daisy as she rested on a rock.
"It’ll get better, I'm sure." said Mayoke, sitting next to her.
"I am TAKING OFF these stupid shoes," announced Angel to no one in particular. "They're so pretty BUT I CAN'T WALK!!!!!!" she screamed. She threw the black, high heels onto the ground.
"Suit yourself," sighed her companion.
"So where are we supposed to go?" she asked, trying to brush her hair back so that it looked more elegant. "I mean, do we have to fight anyone to save Savoya from this evil dragon k...OW!!!!!!!" she removed a thorn from her foot and scrambled atop her companion. She saw a new girl, looking very confused, on the ground. She waved to her. "Hi," she said, grinning.
Sasha quickly got up, and pretended to rub her eyes when really wiping any remainder of tears from her face. She hoped her cheeks weren't red. Getting the feeling the snow leopard wouldn't hurt her, she smiled and replied, "I'm Sasha, and this is- who are you anyway?"
The snow leopard grinned and replied, "I'm Koyuki, your companion in Savoya."
"What's Savoya?"
"This land that you and others have to save from a dragon king."
"Is that the dragon king?" Sasha asked pointing to Mayoke. Koyuki laughed, "Of course not, Mayoke is Daisy's companion. She is with us."
Rather embarrassed, Sasha couldn't help laugh too. "Sorry, Mayoke. But I've never met a dragon or have been to Savoya before, so how would I know." She paused, grinning, and then added, "What are these?" pointing to the device she had put on her wrist.
Koyuki answered, "That's a map. The teal dot is you, the lighter teal dot is me, and the others are the other dots. Simple enough. There also is an energy bar that says how strong I am."
"Weird."
"We should go back to the others, " Koyuki said pointedly.
"C'mon," Sasha said to Daisy, as she climbed on Koyuki's back, and he ran off in the direction of some dots.
"Good she didn't notice me..." said Daisy, leaning against Mayoke's back.
" Well know she will." Mayoke stood up suddenly, and Daisy screamed out.
"Mayoke!!!!!"
"Sorry, but don't be so antisocial."
"I'm not, I just don't like people that cover up their true selves." Daisy said, rubbing her arm, from breaking her fall.
She turned to the girl.
"Hey" Daisy said in a very low voice, while still wincing in pain at the bruise on her arm.
Kaen glared at the new girl.
"How many more people will there be?" she asked. "I don't think I could stand anymore."
Kasai sweatdropped and replied, "Not many more."
Kaen turned back to the girl. She scanned her and guessed that they wouldn't be friend. She heard a small growl and turned to see Kasai staring at the leopard. She smirked and continued playing with her lighter.
Daisy, went up to the girl, and said,
"My name is Daisy." gave a very small smile and walked towards Kaylee.
"I wish that she wasn't hiding her true self." Daisy said to Kaylee. "That's what annoys me the most."
Daisy turned around to see where Mayoke was. Mayoke was looking at the girl and the snow leopard, with no exact expression on his face.
Kaylee couldn't help but agree.
Kiutsu suddenly became alert. He flew off her arm and grew larger.
"Kiutsu?" Kaylee asked, alarmed.
"I am no longer Kiutsu. I'm Takai. Something is coming."
Kaylee heard a loud thump. She turned around to see a giant dragon-like creature. He was a fiery red and stood on two feet. "A wyvern," she muttered.
"Fire Wing!" It cried, beating its enormous wings to create a wave of fire.
Takai barely dodged the attack. In return, he attacked the beast. "Darkness wave!"
Kaen looked up to see a giant dragon. Kasai stood in front of her, protecting her from harm.
"Just fight!" Kaen yelled. "Don't protect me!"
The fox nodded and grew larger, almost the size of a wolf. There was a symbol on his forehead that looked like a flame.
"Fire Claw!" he lashed out at the dragon, sending a wave of flames towards him.
