Ever since it's invention the guitar has spawned many talented musicians. Two of the best guitarists ever were Jimmi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughn. These 2 musicians have inspired many modern guitarist to succeed. They were both from similar periods from the late 60's to the mid 70's. Later the revolutionary music of queen came to the music scene. Queen's great music was very popular 20 years ago and to this day people still know the words to 2 of their songs: We are the Champions and We will Rock you. During the eighties many punk rock groups came in with fast licks and big hair, some of these were the Ramones and Billy Idol. During the nineties the music scene shifted from more classic music to modern rock and alternative. bands such as the offspring and u2 started to become more and more popular and now many different styles of rock have spawned over the years. However no one has yet been able to surpas the speed tone and rhythym of jimmi hendrix. He overdosed but his legacy lives on. Jimmi he hardley knew ya.
